Hi guys,

So my husband decided to email visa rubbish 3rd party for an "update" lol. And they emailed back saying:

Dear XXX
Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.
With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application.
We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. However the visa application centre will be in contact with you in regards to collection or delivery of your passport.
We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.
Regards,

Is this a load of cr*p? Today is only BD 51 for us ...

It “might” be true in that a decision has been made but I find it unbelievable that this call centre would know anything at all about the status of your file from their end. I say it might be true also because when I got my approval letter, it was dated 10 days before Sheffield emailed me the decision made email. So perhaps there is a delay in relaying the email to the applicant. Unfortunately the only email that matters is the official decision made email from Sheffield. Full stop :-/

It could be right it could be wrong.  We've seen both.

That's the problem with the "line" (I refuse to call them a helpline).  Until the decision made email has been received, all bets are off.

But fingers crossed they are right and you get your email today.  If you don't have an email today, I'd try to pretend they didn't tell you anything.  You'll just drive yourself crazy otherwise.

Ok thank you, I highly doubt it's time yet as we're only on day 51. There's people on here that are ahead of us in the queue and should get their decision first

It's approved! Vignette starts tomorrow!

Im so excited and can't thank you guys enough for the support!

I was wondering if I was supposed to receive a letter of some sorts to show the entry clearance officer at the border. I saw the spousal visas come with some type of letter, but are fiancé visas diffrent because they're multiple entry?

With fiance visas the sticker *is* your 6 month visa. With settlement visas they are only good for 30 days until you pick up your BRP, and that is your visa.

Congrats!!
