Received email and tracking info this afternoon! Day 55! Hoping and praying that we can intercept package by tomorrow afternoon! Anyone know if it is possible to arrange to pick up package at a hub rather than waiting for home delivery?

Gratz! I'm happy that we are hearing a few more replies.

I've heard of people collecting their packages at the ups warehouse instead of waiting for it to be delivered. Pretty sure of you give them a call with the tracking that they can hold it for you

Great news! ;D Yes, I'm sure you can. Just give them a call as Keiki mentioned.

YAY! So happy for you!

I'd call the UPS call centre with your tracking info. I've heard that they allow it to be "held" at your local hub.

Just entered Mamakat's data into my list, looks like the average wait is still around 53 days.

More realistic is the 55/56 day mark since a bunch of people on this thread have reported back around that time.

Hi guys ! I was following this thread for some time but never managed to subscribe and now am here . Hope you can make a lil space for me :)
Me NP category applied in April and Sheffield received documents on 21st April . And since then our waiting started .  Me and my British partner praying for a postive outcome and keeping fingers crossed . All our discussions are surrounded about the visa these days ! The wait period seems to be an awful test for us and hence want to share our stress with a bunch of pips going through the same . Hope I make an entry to your group :)
Cheers

Hi gadget_girl!

Welcome to the NP side. And yeah, the waiting and stress suck.

I've been entertaining myself with cat pics. I think we had a week on this thread of straight cats. It was glorious.

Hi Everyone,

I've been an quiet observer for awhile, but finally decided to post. My situation is a bit unique as I am currently living in Vancouver, Canada as a permanent resident with my british/canadian husband. So this will be my second time immigrating to a new country...fun :P The process is a bit different up here, but the timelines seem to be about the same from the website. Here are my stats:

Application submitted: May 15
Biometrics: May 19
Docs received in Sheffield: May 24
Email confirmation of docs: May 24
waiting on decision email

I have a question. I have plans to visit my family in the States at the beginning of August, but if my visa isn't processed before then I won't have my passport back. Any thoughts on how I can get back into the US without a passport as an American citizen?

Good news, Canada is usually processed slightly faster!

You can apply for a second passport or use a passport card to enter.  But otherwise you won't get in.

Welcome TheLyonharts!

I would go with KFdancer's advice and go with a second passport if needed.

I remember (when I went to uni near Canada) there were people who visited the USA and vice versa who had a WHTI-compliant doc.

The US Embassy & Consulates in Canada states:

Quote
Under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), all persons, whether U.S. Citizen or foreign nationals, must present a valid passport, passport card, WHTI-compliant document or alternate approved travel document to enter or depart from the United States.

link: https://ca.usembassy.gov/visas/passport-requirements/

Edit: I looked this up for Canadian citizens, but WHTI docs still work for US Citizens who enter by land or sea. Not sure about air.

Hi Friends!

I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm keeping up with everyones comments! Today is business day 30 for me! Wahoo! Halfway here (Hopefully).  I've sold everything I own and I'm moving out of my duplex this weekend.  :\\\'( I'm moving back in with my parents until I get my visa. This way I can continue to work and save money! Once I get the visa I'll give my notice at work and then hopefully be gone by August! Well... thats how it all works out in my head. We will see how that goes lol. I'm trying to stay positive and not think.. "what if the visa is denied, and I've sold everything I own and moved in with my parents!?"  :o that would be absolutely horrific.  So again.. I feel like I'm gambling here but GOOD VIBES ONLY!
