Thank you, I wish, but i foolishly put Jan 5th as my entry date, i just never imagined that it would be this soon.  Honestly, I would just be happy to get back to him, haave not seen my husband since july.
I understand  :\\\'( , it will pass fast.. use this time to love on your family and friends and start your list of places you want to eat and have fun... :D  ;)

Got my visa today and it was a yes, super relieved and tired from not being able to sleep with worry.  I might be able to have a goodnight sleep tonight, looking forward to it!!  It came much earlier than expected, so will be booking a flight for early january, cannot wait to see my husband and not have to think about having to leave him yet again.   I applied for standard and got it within 7 weeks of mailing to new york, which seems super fast from what i have noticed, not complaining of course. Will plug in the data into my stamp so other can see my timeline, hope it is helpful, also, my asked arrival date was january 5th, they gave me a 29/12/18  to  28/01/19 for entry.

Congratulations :). That is a fast decision for non-priority :).

It’s standard for them to start the 30-day visa vignette 7 days before the date you put on the application form :).

Thank you so much, yeah it seemed really fast, I honestly cannot believe it.  Perhaps they confused mine to be priority?  Who know, i will not question good luck when it comes my way.  Yeah, i heard about the 7 day thing, it works well for me because while i have never traveled during the holidays, I cannot imagine it would be fun to do.

Ah,  some quick questions,  The paper they sent me says to present it with my passport when i arrive, I assume that is all i will need, the paper for entry and my passport with the vignette sticker.  I know i need to pick up my BRP card within ten days, which will be cake.  Any other advice?  I guess i need to start planning for the FLR, that acronym might be wrong, apologies.  I might wait to about a 2 weeks after I land in the UK to begin that worry.  Does it get easier?  Or are the next two  (FLR and ILR) just as hard if not more so?

Congratulations! Yes you just need the letter and your passport to pick up your brp. Once you're here, get your name on as much mail as you can. You'll need to start saving correspondence for the next visa.

You can also apply for a provisional license if you wish and a national insurance number if you plan to work. You can register with a GP office once you have mail in your name and open a bank account. Lots to do but you have time!  :D

The next two, while they definitely need to be taken seriously, seem easier because you've done it all before.  :)

The visas all have the same requirements, just more money for each one.  Check in with us a few weeks after you’ve landed and we will tell you the steps to take when you are here.  :)

It really gives me peace of mind after inquiring about my application status through UKIV email:
"With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision.
For processing times it is 15 working days for non- settlement applications or 60 working days for settlement applications, after biometrics."
30 more days to wait!

43rd working day since biometrics. Still waiting.
My landlord is letting me stay until my visa arrives, so no pressure to leave just yet. I've repacked my suitcase for the last time:45 lbs, yay. As soon as the visa arrives, a friend will purchase my car for his son, so that's easy. Ug, it's quiet here in the non-priority spouse visa thread. Checking UPS daily...

I see that you are awaiting a priority visa that's taking as long as my non-priority visa. How frustrating, but it's going to happen for us soon!
