I see that you are awaiting a priority visa that's taking as long as my non-priority visa. How frustrating, but it's going to happen for us soon!
It is... it’s part of the ride.. all we can do is enjoy the time we have with family and friends because it will come fast and then it will be time to say so long, but never goodbyes

I'm currently at four suitcases. I found a fairly reasonable unaccompanied baggage delivery service.

What's the name of the service if you dont mind sharing.

With 2 kids and car seat and stroller and possibly 6 suitcases. I'm thinking of sending some of my baggage ahead.

It depends on the country you are applying from.

In some countries, you submit your documents in person at the biometrics appointment, so the business-day count starts from that day  (the biometrics date).

In the US, you attend biometrics first, then mail your documents after that, so the business-day count has always started from the date you get the confirmation email from Sheffield saying they have your documents... because they can't start processing the application until they actually receive it.
Couldn't find the post you just left me about the baggage service, but it is Send My Bag. https://www.sendmybag.com/

If you can gold out dont send it, I did, but that eco emails comes around the 1 month mark after you package has arrived for priority, might be a little longer for non-priority.

Send the email. It's just a few dollars and it will give you peace of mind. I see no benefit in holding out. :)

Send the email. It's just a few dollars and it will give you peace of mind. I see no benefit in holding out. :)

Except you are paying to email a third party, who has little to no visibility into your application.  And they VERY frequently give out incorrect information that sends people into a tail spin!

The Hubs and I decided to hold out a bit in regards to the email--maybe when it's closer to day 60... He said he wanted to know if he can move jobs while the visa is underway or if he should just stay until the visa is complete. I told him maybe it's best he stayed until the visa is finished.

Yes - if you are relying on his employment income to meet the requirements and he moves jobs now, it means you will no longer qualify for the visa.

If UKVI discover he no longer has the same employment, your visa could be refused. Also, when you enter the U.K. on the visa, they may check that nothing has changed since you applied, and if he no longer has the job that you relied on for the visa requirements, they could cancel your visa at the border and send you back to the US.

So, he should not change jobs until AFTER the visa has been granted and AFTER you have arrived in the U.K.
