I got the email that my application is with an Entry Clearance Officer. I'm thrilled to know it's at the very least been assigned to someone and we're in the system.  :) I'm realistic and realise it'll be a long while before we hear any other news, but just thrilled with this little bit.

I think I might be the only non-priority applicant right now.  ;D But we hit 30 working days today (if I counted correctly). No news since the email that our application is being processed. My fingers are crossed that all the documents are there and we have no issues. We chose to fully upload all of our documents (which took forever to compress and was an absolute pain).

I've been trying to stay busy with work here, planning the wedding as much as I can, and have begun prepping for our FLR(M) application.

If others are applying non-priority I'd love to hear your timeline!  :)

Thought I'd jump in the thread here! It's been 21 business days since I submitted the application (Feb 21), 17 business days since I shipped it out (it arrived next day in NYC). Still waiting on the email  that the application has been moved to the ECO... starting to get a bit anxious now that we've hit the month mark!

What a long, strange trip it's been!

I know it's not recommended as I'm sure it *will* be processed, but slightly before the month mark I did send off an email asking if my visa was in the system. I just needed confirmation that I was in the system, not even that it was being processed. It was about $7 and my ECO email came through a few days later. So was it necessary for me to do? Honestly, no not at all. But it did give me peace of mind to know our application was at least recorded.

I'm sure your ECO email will come in in a day or two, they seem to be moving relatively quickly through things.

I definitely feel that!! My anxiety has been through the roof with this application. I'm going to wait until it's been a month from when I actually sent the application, but I have no problem throwing a few dollars towards bugging them further. It totally is worth the peace of mind!! I'm thinking to myself "okay, so, our application and my passport are just sat somewhere in New York? But not even moving further along? What if they lost something?!"

Oh I'm the same way. I just needed to know it was simply marked down somewhere and the application wasn't lost. I agree, the peace of mind was worth that money. The anxiety for this visa is unlike anything I've experienced so I completely understand. Did you upload at all or send off the documents fully to NY? We uploaded, but I sent the few things needed to NY (like the passport, biometric appointment sheet, etc.) along with Appendix 2 of VAF2A and the passport photos.

I sent all of the documents off. I didn't trust their upload client after hearing about some facepalm-type moments with it!  The only way I knew they received it was by checking the tracking info on the UPS website, so worst case scenario I can go on a manhunt for the person that received my documents  ;D
