Hello!  This is my first time posting. My husband (Batonman) has posted asking all of the necessary questions for submitting the application while I have been in the background stressing out about it. Thank you to all that took the time to reply to him. I would like to add my timeline to this thread for reference as I’ve been lurking to see how long the non-priority visas are taking. It seems that most are sent priority. The waiting is awful, but it’s nice to know I’m not alone.  :)

Hello!

I haven't applied yet, but I'm hoping to within the next 10 days. Then I'll be in here suffering through the longest 60 days (or more) of my life. However, due to various issues, we've had to wait nearly two years past our wedding to apply, so finally sending in the application will be such a relief.

I've been reading many of the posts here from the past two years to know what to expect.

Someone mentioned something to me about filling out some sort of appendix form, was I supposed to fill that out and send it with my documents. I dont remember seeing the form on my list

My friend who applied for her spouse visa back in 2017 forgot her Appendix 2 as well. They eventually contacted her about 3-4 weeks after she submitted it to get it from her. Make sure to have a copy handy filled out to send them!

Status Now: Waiting...8.5 weeks and counting!! SO ANXIOUS! Eeeep!!

It's been 8 and a half weeks and counting. The very latest I should hear back about the decision is September 27th according to their given time expectation. The closer it gets to that date the more nervous I get! I forgot to include conversations between my husband and I in the relationship proof documentation; but I'm hoping that boarding passes, screenshots of Facebook posts with many people liking/commenting/congratulating and professional wedding pictures will be enough proof. I am so excited to be with my husband.. and nervous to move. I've never lived in a different city let alone an entire new country!!!!

The process has changed like you wouldn’t believe since 2017!  Unfortunately after about 2 months, anything with immigration is outdated.  I wish I was joking!

Hello,

Since everyone here has recently submitted their applications, I had a couple of questions:

Can anyone here tell me what documents you must bring to the biometrics appointment? I know I will be mailing everything to New York but wasn't sure if they looked at anything at the appointment.

Also, as far as shipping the documents/passport to New York: I read that it costs $140 for full outbound/return shipping or $82 for just return. Yikes. Has anyone shipped to New York through another carrier? Does it save much?

Thanks!

Vfs wouldn't process my payment to get the labels from their website. So I went straight through ups. I paid about 180 for Express shipping both ways. It has to go via air not ground.
