I agree.  I think the first couple of people who tried it got lucky.

But there are plenty of people now on the timeline who applied priority and have not had decisions within 30 days?
Met Nov 2015
Married 11 April 17
Online visa app 24 April 2017 (Priority)
Biometrics 5th May 2017
App tracked and received Sheffiled 10th May 2017
Email confirming receipt (of online application) 25th May 2017
Email asking for passport, appendix 2 etc (which has all been sent) 30th May 2017 (Discovered solicitor may have advised to send to wrong processing centre address - letters, and phone calls - still unclear).
Confirmed receipt of docs 17th July
Return label requested and emailed 17th July
Decision email 26th July
Visa 28th July

31 days in, I don't think my retroactive upgrade worked!

I just counted 16 priority applications logged in April and May so far that have or will have taken longer than 30 days - not including mine (cos of address issue) or yours.

I think a lot of people are going to see their wait times start to creep up. I've noticed the same thing that EmilyUK said. There are some people who are having to wait until the 30+ day mark now.

I hope they did honour your upgrade, but it still might be a wait yet.

Does anyone of a nice little spread sheet for us nonpriority people. I know the May timeline had a spreadsheet for the priority people. Just wondering :)

The easiest one is this one from Keiki

It's not wholly accurate because it counts business days (M-F) since neither Excel nor Google docs have algorithms that factor for British public holidays.

It's pretty accurate, however. I have another spreadsheet on my laptop that does factor in working days (M-F excluding public holidays), but Keiki's is a bit more user-friendly.

I think I'll know after 43 days, I was going by Katoo because they had an earlier refusal but then applied priority and got an answer in 30 days. We've emailed our MP but I'm not too convinced he can do anything - he's been shockingly difficult to get a hold of.

I would urge people to NOT retroactively upgrade at this point though. I know people who had done it before were able to get some confirmation but I have not.

I hope your MP can help. I've seen a couple people get their MP to contact Sheffield and get the "we aim to get all results back within 12 weeks" answer. Some people have gotten movement so I hope you fit in that category.

If you speak to the rest center In advance they may accept other ID if you explain. My daughter in law was able to present her US permanent resident card at her A1 life skills test Center in New Jersey because she didn't have her passport

Right now I would do anything to secure my visa. Your suggestions are worth a million to me xxx

The gods are fickle beasts. The things devotees request with sacrifices of gold are not always honoured.

I've been reading up on mythology in my downtime... can you tell?

It does account for holidays, you can see them on the right in blue, so my spreadsheet is fully accurate :)

Ahh my bad on that then. I haven't looked at the spreadsheet on ages.
