Hi everyone can you help? We applied non-priority back in May. Got the email saying docs had arrived 26th May but then we discovered this forum and realised priority is a thing

Anyway couple of weeks ago we sent an email asking if we could retrospectively (sic) upgrade to priority. Their first response was that it wasn't possible but then yesterday we got this:
'If you opt to pay for Priority service retrospectively please email the Priority Receipt to enable it to be linked to your application.
Please email visasheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk with the required information, ensuring the subject header contains Contact Centre enquiry:'
So we're now at day 24 since they got our docs, do you think it's worth paying for priority? If we did would that just put us at the back of the priority queue? Would we save any time by doing it at this stage?
Thanks in advance.
