26th or 19th? Thats brilliant! (except for poor old ECCHO  :-[) I thought we were going to see a sudden rise in time.

Hopefully all our positive thoughts for ECCHO will seep into the system somehow and their visa will be speedily processed and they will be happily married and finally together any day now!

I believe the 19th, but I'll ask just to be sure.

It looks like it's sticking around the 53 business day average. Which means people are both above and below that. I hope we don't see too much of a rise.

OK so we have good news. Got our response today that a decision has been made and that our documents are being sent back.  Another error which was mine is that our forms were not offically received in Sheffield until the 6th March even though the tracking said the 30th March making our official wait time shorter than what's on the spreadsheet.  We should receive the papers on Monday and fingers crossed we will have a favourable decision.  Thanks for all the positive messages of support and hopefully it gives little more hope and a true reflection for those still waiting.

Do you mean 6th of April? or really 6th of March?

Now all we need is the mid-late April people to start hearing back! I'd love for this thread to have a bunch of decision made emails come in.  ;D

Hi everyone can you help? We applied non-priority back in May. Got the email saying docs had arrived 26th May but then we discovered this forum and realised priority is a thing :( Anyway couple of weeks ago we sent an email asking if we could retrospectively (sic) upgrade to priority. Their first response was that it wasn't possible but then yesterday we got this:

'If you opt to pay for Priority service retrospectively please email the Priority Receipt to enable it to be linked to your application.

Please email visasheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk with the required information, ensuring the subject header contains Contact Centre enquiry:'

So we're now at day 24 since they got our docs, do you think it's worth paying for priority? If we did would that just put us at the back of the priority queue? Would we save any time by doing it at this stage?

Thanks in advance.

I got the email saying docs received on May 15 and upgraded to priority retroactively on June 2, I have tried to call them many times to confirm since then and heard absolutely nothing. I'm on business day 33 right now and still nothing...

I like that you have the email though, that sounds like proof you can remind them of in case they don't upgrade you if you decide to go through with it? But officially it says on their website you can NOT do it, and so does vfsglobal when you go to pay for the service!

Honestly? No. I don't really think it's worth it. While some people earlier in the year had their upgrade honoured, Sheffield and UKVI officially say that you cannot retroactively upgrade. Meaning that you could pay for the upgrade and chance it that they will honour it, but that seems like a costly risk.

However, people will say that the upgrade is worth it when you factor in rent/bills/etc you might be paying for the months you're in the US waiting. That is if UKVI honours the upgrade, to begin with, which, again, is a big 'if'.

I would feel a bit dishonest if I recommended that you went through with an upgrade when I can't be certain if UKVI will acknowledge your upgrade.

Wanted to follow up...received notice on M, 6/20 that a decision had been made.  Retrieved the package literally off the UPS truck in a Starbucks parking lot on Thursday morning.  Visa was granted  and in the air to the UK by that afternoon!  Whew!!!!  That was quite the ordeal but thankfully prayers were answered and it's behind us now!  Hopeful y'all will all have good news very soon!
