Just book whatever is cheapest for you - usually a round trip is cheaper than a one-way.

You can either just not use the return ticket or you can use it for a trip back to the US in a few months.

On 5 June, I joined my husband in England.  We are also retired.  We live aboard a narrowboat at a marina on the Lancaster canal.  This is the culmination of 8 years of planning our retirement.  Every single thing we planned went like clockwork, with the exception of the not anticipated long wait for the visa.

I really enjoyed  Timothy West and Prunella Scales' Great Canal Journeys series. The traveling scenery, history, and watching them deal with the logistics of it were great, but it was also interesting to see the "messing about in boats" (if that's not too cliche) community within a community.   ;0)
"Human" is a noun. "Black", "White", "Asian", "Latino", "Indigenous", "Male", "Female", "GLBT", "Straight", "Christian", "Jewish", "Muslim", "Buddhist", "Hindu", "Pagan", "Conservative", "Liberal", are all adjectives.

Happy 4th to all my friends who are stuck in the US waiting and all those living firework-less today in the UK.

These next two weeks are going to be the literal worst for that exact reason.

I want this thread to have an influx of "decision made" emails so badly. Lol

Hi Brenna1017

How did you apply for upgrading to priority?

Not sure if you have seen the updates on the other threads but an MP confirmed with sheffield that they are no longer accepting retroactive upgrades.... so spending the money is  HUGE risk.

Interesting they accepted for a lucky few and are discarding the rest of us

Its not that they are disregarding, it just shouldn't have be allowed to begin with seeing that the website states that it cant be done after the application has been sent.

I think they let it go for a bit and have now gone back to the rules... sucks

Does Sheffield work 9 to 5.
Meaning, 9am to 5pm GMT + coffee breaks + a lunch break.
