Just to add, in the five years I've been involved here, I've learned to trust the written guidance and MP's.  I believe NOTHING from the call centre.   ;D

I feel the same as KFDancer here, we wouldn't want to steer you wrong, but Sheffield told this person's MP that the only reason they were even excepting theirs was due to exceptional circumstances(the applicant want pregnant). If you are willing to risk that much money on a very good chance they don't take it, thats up to you. We all just try to make sure you have all the information before you make your decision.

Americanmom upgraded and hasn't heard a peep. And is well over what would be the priority. I think a few others have as well.

Hi All,

I stumbled across this forum recently, and it seems like you all have a great grasp on what is needed to get through this visa process! I'm currently waiting on my visa (day 28), and wishing I had paid for the priority! Oh well, live and learn. My dates below for reference for other non priority people!

The easiest one is this one from Keiki

I can post my own spreadsheet right onto the forum if that would be easier for people to see.

Also, kenneth89, you might want to repost your stats so that way we have them here on this thread in case anyone else wanders in with a similar timeline.  ;D

Please do post yours also Solaire. That would be most helpful.

Forgive me for updating so late but I've been a bit overwhelmed.

On Monday I woke up and checked the tracker and it said, "Decided" on July 1st. Later that same day (July 3rd) I got both the decision email + tracking information email from Sheffield. I haven't slept in I don't know how many days and I literally sat at the front door and ran down the drive when I saw the UPS truck come down the block.

It's a YES, thank God!

I can't explain how nervous and scared I've been - but FINALLY after 6 months away from my child and husband, it's a yes! Bittersweet because my parents are so sad I'm leaving "already"!

I want to thank each and every one of you that I spoke to here, you are all in my prayers. You are amazing, wonderful people who helped keep me sane, gave great advice, and helped me with numbers. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I'm honestly so buzzed about Americanmom's result that I'm not wholly paying attention  ;D

Thank you!!! It feels VERY unreal.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I only just started on the forum, but I read your story and it sounded stressful! I'm so glad it worked out for you

Thank you, it's been very tough. We have one refusal under our belt, and we were draining our resources, let alone felt like the worst mother in the world.

The clouds open, the angels sing "Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!"

Enjoy your holiday and wedding!!!!

Thank you, you're brilliant and you are greatly appreciated. I don't have the adequate words to express my appreciation.

I teared up a little reading your stuff Americanmom. hopefully you are on a plane before the end of the week. Enjoy not only your reunion but also your fabulous family holiday. xxx

Thank you! Looking at flights right now, first family holiday in 10 years...and with 6 months apart, my kids have earned it!

Superb. Congratulations. The weather is lovely here right now :-) good luck with everything. I hope my wife and I will be reunited very soon also.
Every single person here is in my thoughts and prayers. From my experience: priority was a worthy gamble, stay off the helplines, post here when you're feeling low or lost, and get in touch with an MP!

I don't think our MP was able to do anything because he hasn't even set up his office yet!

Let me know if I missed anyone.

I'm honestly so buzzed about Americanmom's result that I'm not wholly paying attention  ;D
Thank you!!! You guys are the first people I told after hubby, parents, and sister who took the day off work for emotional support.
