The easiest one is this one from Keiki

I can post my own spreadsheet right onto the forum if that would be easier for people to see.

Also, kenneth89, you might want to repost your stats so that way we have them here on this thread in case anyone else wanders in with a similar timeline.  ;D
I would love to see them!

Americanmom you give us so much hope that they're actually doing something over there! I know you've probably given this information in the past month, but I was wondering if you could give the steps on what you did for to upgrade retroactively?? Like the email address you sent the receipt to...and whether you sent in a physical copy of the receipt to Sheffield???

I know you are probably swamped with packing and overall excitement but if you could spare some time that would be great :) I was secretly waiting to hear what your outcome would be but now it gives me a little incentive to upgrade...so in a way thank you for being the guinea pig ;)!!!
I agree I would love to be able to upgrade retroactively

The only real difference is that I use formulas on mine to automate everything. The formula I use to calculate the days does count holidays into it, but does not count the first day of input, aka the date the first email from Sheffield is sent, the next working day after is considered "day 1". I spend a lot of time at work making spreadsheets and working on excel so I thought I'd lend a hand. Other than that it's just a difference of visibility. I like to be able to check on the dates and have them handy and not have to rely on someone posting them in the thread sparingly.

Hi Keiki. I do the Priority timeline logs.  I use this calculator.
http://www.work-day.co.uk/#am1wd

I take the working days and deduct 1 like you to remove the first day of input. I had to go through all of them as everyone used the other convention that you recognise is incorrect... i.e. that Monday-Friday = incorrectly 5 days when in fact it should be displayed as 4 days.   Hope that helps.

I'm not saying anything is incorrect, I'm just trying to use technology to the benefit of me and my fellow forum users. That's just the way the formula works for networking days in excel, it seems accurate and I don't have to babysit or constantly have to manually count days  :p

But thank you for the link, it's a good tool

Going by this, Friday is the day. Else, next week. God save my weekend.

I can go crazy until then with all that inbox refresh - spam refresh - inbox refresh - spam refresh...

I'm really hoping we hear something today or tomorrow (I'm day 54 today). I feel like I'm wishing my life away at the moment!

Guys. If it's going to be a big deal, I can just not physically post the timeline on here. I avoided it for the exact reason that people could just look at Keiki's.

I know exactly what you mean about hope, I was waiting with bated breath for each applicant before me.

I paid for the priority on VFSGlobal, then emailed the receipt to: VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk>

I got a automated response but no other acknowledgment at all.

Last week it occurred to me that I should mail the receipt in as well and had DH do it as same day registered mail.

Thank you so much!...I'm thinking I may wait until next week and do it!...I'll keep everyone posted on what happens in the following weeks. I know it's a gamble but it will ease my mind a bit I think.

Having just paid the $738 for retrograde priority I can tell you that it really has eased my mind. I totally get why people don't recommend it but I've heard of a handful of people for who it has worked, and because of that, I'm willing to take the risk. I'm not expecting to get my visa next week after paying priority (although one user did) but I am hoping it will arrive by early August making my total wait time 40BD or two months. That would be good enough for me. I just can't let it get to 3, 4, 5 months, as some people are suggesting it can take this long. I hope if you do decide to pay priority it will be worth it and your visa comes quickly!! Good luck to you, and everyone!

And trust me, we understand why you would want to take the chance  on the upgrade. We just can't recommend that you do.

Just kicking myself for not doing it from the start! Our terrible immigration lawyer "family friend" steered us wrong when she said "it makes no difference, they're all processed at the same pace." She also told us it would take three months to get our sons' UK passports, both of which took three weeks. Wish I'd jumped on this forum sooner!!!
