Just had a peek at the spreadsheet. I'm listed as 5/10, which was when UPS delivered our app, but I didn't get a confirmation email from Sheffield until 5/15.

Both of our applications were approved !!Even though they made me pay separate return shipping on each and sent them both in the same package so I wasted 141 dollars. Wonder if I can get that refunded. I'm just so relieved and thankful!! Its been a stressful 11 weeks almost 12.

That's fantastic news! But it's silly that they made you pay twice the postage...

What has the wait time for postage been from receiving a decision email to actually getting documents back?

It depends on the return postage you chose.  I chose UPS overnight (actually 2 business days from UK).  Decision email on 7/8, shipped on Monday 7/10, delivered on Wed 7/12

If you used VFS, it will be two business days. They don't deliver on Saturdays.

So you'll likely get something on Monday if it shipped yesterday (Thursday).

Dude, I completely understand. Mine was stuck in Philadephia for 10 hours, and Louisville KY for six. I could have driven there quicker!

My vignette was dated about two days after it got to me (got in on the 12th, good as of today) so you can start looking up flights! Get everything ready for leaving asap. :)

I've wondered about this. What are travel time frame stipulations usually like?

The forum elders probably have more experience with the technicalities than I do. But the vignette is good for 30 (calendar) days.

Mine is dated from 14 July - 13 August so I have within that window to get into the UK.

Normally, they'll consider the date that you put as your "desired travel date". IE If you got your decision before your "desired travel date", you'll get that date as the start of your vignette.

Mine passed so I got this date, which is actually a week from the day the tracker says that a decision had been made on my visa.

My UK student visa was issued before my requested travel date, and it was valid for about a month. I just didn't know if the window was different for settlement. My requested date for this one is long passed (hope sprung eternal). We'll see what happens I guess!
