Because you would have to change out of your jammies.  One should ALWAYS avoid changing out of their jammies.

What the what...? Can you see me?!

Because an hour on a straight, multiple lane, wide easy road is simple, and an hour on a windy, narrow and/or single track road is hell.

While dodging potholes!

Too true!  Though the roads in Wales are generally better maintained.  Probably because there's fewer people driving over them.

I can get behind this thought process.

Yep.

Because an hour away for something that you may not even like just isn't worth it. There are things that I'd be interested in trying but not if I had to drive an HOUR away (and then an hour back) for said activities. I totally get it. Also, why get out of your PJs?
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

Yup.  There is a junk yard mini golf in Oxford.  Could be loads of fun.  I'm not going to drive an hour to find out...

This jammies thing is why I don't spend as much time in the workshop as I'd like.  I *could* go out in my jammies, but someone might see me between here and there.  I have to walk across our driveway to get there.  Plus, I'd be cold.

(I do need to make a few things, though...)

This kind of thing does not bother me.  Heck, I go to the spa all the time and eat dinner with my friends while wearing a bathrobe!   ;D

The fix for this is to wear thicker/comfier jammies :) (that and don't give any *bleep*s RE who sees you. I've totally walked from my house to the car in the most ridiculous PJs ever before as we had to go shower at my in-laws before the shower was installed and ready).

Yeah even when you hear good things, it's hard to be motivated to drive that far haha. There's a board game cafe that's meant to be really good in Cambridge and there's loads of other stuff to do in Cambridge as well, but I 100% cannot be bothered to drive 2+ hours away even for something I know I would enjoy. Not unless I did it on a whim or I couldn't do said activity anywhere else.

To be honest, it wouldn't bother me, either.  But I know it bothers my husband.  He's so British proper.  :P

I have left the house in my jammies to go to a cash point to get money to pay tradesman who have worked on my house.  And just pretended I was wearing real clothes.

It always amazes me when people ask what appropriate attire on an airplane is.  Umm... it's 2018.  Wear what you want (assuming it's not displaying anything inappropriate to others).

Appropriate attire on an airplane is natural fibers and good walking/running shoes, in case of emergency.  Don't wear nylons or other synthetics that'll melt in a fire.  You know.. just in case.  (Sorry to people with phobias about flying!  This is just practical advice.)

Edited to add:  My PJs are all 100% cotton.  Nice, breathable material.
