So far, notbing. I'm so upset-something  is definitely wrong....

I agree. It looks like they dropped the ball with your application but now it sounds like things are moving. It really shouldn't be long now.

Having said that, if I were you, I'd go back to the MP contact person and tell them what's happened,- you've had waffly email but are no further forward. Ask them to try to push harder on your behalf.
Don't be shy either, if you don't pursue this, they'll assume that you're already satisfied with the outcome.

Good luck.  :)

Well, everyone experienced here says that escalation does absolutely nothing.

That said, their own service standard says they will contact you after 12 weeks to explain the delay and give you more information. :(

THabks for your support-will call MP again shortly.  I am very hesitant to use the new call center, as I hear that they charge you £20 off the bat and then "reimburse you" for time not used.  Plus they are useless. The system is so messed up and I have had the worst experience ever...I don't even know where to turn from here if I get no joy from MP. Will post updates if I get any.

Yes, that's what I would do.  Good luck!  :)

Larrabee, what happened last year when non-priority was running 5 months? Did they contact each person after 12 weeks?

She's not escalating, she's over the 12 weeks and they have not got in touch with her.
We're talking about getting in touch with the MP's assistant now.  :)

And btw, when they say that they'll be in touch... they lie!
Service standard for FLR is 8 weeks. They send you a letter, it says in black and white that if they go over, they will be in touch. We were kept waiting for 15 weeks without a sniff of a letter explaining the wait!  :)

I wasn't referring to escalating now, but an earlier escalation (she mentioned it earlier on this thread)
Very interesting theory!!
Yeah- they told me a couple of times the decision had been made on the 19th. That's why the one guy made an escalation because he was shocked that my documents didn't go out.

I'm praying that it was an oversight somehow and not a rejection.

I was pointing out that even though they SAID they escalated the case, anecdotal evidence on the forum says that does nothing.

Fair enough!

Keep us posted ML.  Remember it's a tick box visa.  Tick the boxes and you get the visa.  Do you have any reason to be concerned?  Or is it just the delay that concerns you?

Big hugs.  I know it's a lonely time.  Really hoping you hear something today or tomorrow.

It is just the delay that I'm worried about at this point, as I have seen everyone else get their visa in their hands in two weeks less than I am waiting at this point. I'm also on a Facebook group where I'm watching everyone from other countries anywhere near my time get their visas in their hands. So I'm sure that something got messed up with mine and that no one is taking responsibility for it. Also could be that my ECO was on holiday, at this point someone should be able to give me more information than they are. It has been 8 working days since they told me a decision with me

MP office says the hotline they use does not work currently bc of the recess in parliament, but the assistant has emailed and is waiting to hear back-I am NOT hopeful at all with all these changes. It's the worst timing for things to be going wrong lol!

If I remember correctly, you never got an official decision email. Is that right? I wonder if the helpline told you the wrong info.

Correct, but they told me more than once that a decision was made on 19th may. So that's what they had in their computer at least....and the email says that the decision was made too but the processing is what's holding it up. Who knows....
Either way I should have word by now. i think either my ECO was on holiday and left it on his desk since the 19th (maybe processed later in the day) or that when they went to process it, they lost something. I've heard stories of people getting mixed documents or wrong passports, so it's not a stretch to imagine it happening!

Oh dear, it sure is. I really hope you'll get this sorted soon but worst case scenario, it's looking like a couple more weeks until the new MP's are sworn in.
