If you keep making excuses for the advice that is given to you - then why bother asking in the first place?  :-\\\\

There is plenty of good advice in this thread - whether or not you choose to take it is completely up to you.

Yes, some of the advice is very good. I believe I said it was. My post was a response to Kristi, who made a factual mistake.

Kristi referred to my fiance losing money every month. Because of this,  I assumed she thought  he was getting foreign checks every month; that is, the checks were coming from my fiance's regular job. That is incorrect, but I understand how Kristi could have made that error. No big deal. So I provided the correct information.

If my fiance were getting paid in foreign money with every paycheck, it would make perfect sense for him to use a bank that is used to handling foreign money. But he doesn't; the organization he works for is in the UK.

Perhaps you should read all the posts in a thread carefully before commenting on it.  If you read an individual post out of context, you're not going to understand what the poster is really saying. That is, if you care what the poster is really saying.

If I have misinterpreted Kristi's post, then I apologize to her.

I can see where Jacky99 was coming from Sweetpeach,  a lot of your responses to people's suggestions seem quite negative.  Perhaps you could try and be a bit more positive? Then people might not misunderstand you so much.

I appreciate that people make the effort to give advice, and I will accept advice that's good, according to my judgement. If people provide incorrect information or advice that's not appropriate, I'm not going to do what they say just to be nice and make them feel better about themselves.

I'm not saying you have to do what everyone says but can't you say "thanks but no thanks" nicely or even just not respond to that paticular post, there is no need to make everyone feel like they are wasting your time by daring to breathe in your airspace.

Thank you and good night!

Well, let's hope you don't need much more advise then.  Because as I see it, not too many people are going to be going out of their way to help you from here on in.   :)

I don't think I have ever been rude to anyone, just explained whatever the situation was. If someone gives incorrect or inappropriate advice, I would think it would be helpful to other readers to have this pointed out. Someone in a similar situation might be lurking.

But if they don't care, then I can't be bothered.

I don't think anyone else can be bothered right now. I certainly can't.

Again.  I think all your questions have been answered.  Take or leave any or all advise.  And good luck on your quest for correct information.  Perhaps I could suggest going to a professional and paying for advise, instead of relying on well meaning people who are offering advise for no other reason than to be helpful.
