Okay, just skimming through the form - it looks pretty similar to the FLR(M) form in terms of the sections.

In regards to the documents you must provide to show you have been living together, it's still 6 items from 3 different sources, however, it says:

Quote
The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole period you are relying on.

I guess they can't specify a particular period in terms of years because the form is for people applying under both the 2-year old rules and 5-year new rules.

So I take it to mean 2 years of correspondence for old rules people and 5 years of correspondence for new rules people.

Glad I've kept everything!  I'm looking forward to a massive shredding party in September!

Take photos of everything before you shred and save these, as you never know.

Can I ask a question about 2 year route vs the 5 mentioned above?  This might be dumb.  But surely this form is just for ILR for people on the 5 year route, as the 2 year route ended in 2012 and therefore all of them would have gotten ILR around 2014, correct?  Or is there something I'm missing?

It's not likely anyone on the two year route is left, but a combo of long processing times (postal FLR applications in 2012 were taking 11 months!!!!), a refusal and successful appeal could potentially mean there are a few people on the 2-year route.

Dec 2012 - FLR | Nov 2014 - ILR | Dec 2015 - UK Citizen

Normally that would be the case, yes, but there may be some people still on 2-year FLR(M) visas that have not applied for ILR yet.

For example, if they have not managed to pass the Life in the UK test yet or they have unspent criminal convictions, or something similar, which mean they have had to extend their FLR(M) instead of being able to apply for ILR.

It's unlikely there will be many people in that position, but I guess they have to keep the form available just in case.

I didn't think it needed to be five years of correspondence based on the tickbox above the note:
"Documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address as evidence that you have been living together continuously since your last grant of leave in this category. See Note 8."

I read this as having to show correspondence from the date of the last FLR

Was just about to post this myself as I've been reading through it! So that would make it documentation from the previous two and a half years.

... that's not to say we won't be keeping all of our documents from way back when, more or less forever --- mind you, it'll be 2020 before we're applying for this. Goodness knows what the fee will be then. Ouch!

I had a question about this form I was reading it. I am not sure if I am just confused by misreading a line when you are exempt from the minimum income threshold (my wife has DLA)
When you jump down to section 8B it says this:

Quote
You must provide evidence that your sponsor (or you if you are applying as a parent) is able to adequately
maintain you and any dependants in the United Kingdom without recourse to public funds.
All applicants must provide specified evidence set out in Appendix FM-SE of the Immigration Rules unless
they have had leave under Part 8 of the Immigration Rules before 9 July 2012. For further details see
SET(M) guidance notes.

The way I read this is that not just me but my wife (since shes the sponsor) has to show the adequate maintenance without public funds?

Am I misreading something? Or does that mean if she receives housing benefit that would make the application fail?
