Need mobile phone help

I've only got a IPhone 5s and my daughter somehow talked her way into getting a 6S.

This morning she started doing this annoying thing where she can put animations over the face time messages I have sent her.  Check out the screen shot below:



How the heck is she doing that?  She won't tell me and it's driving me nuts.

That green hippo is slapping his butt by the way

If you update to the most recent iOS you should be able to do the same

Going to guess it's this section, but it may be the handwriting too:
Add stickers to iMessage speech bubbles
You can also add stickers to your messages. Tap on the App Store icon beside the heart and camera icons next to the text bar and you will be presented with various stickers including handwritten messages and gifs. You can also find more stickers at the App Store. Tap on the four blobs on the bottom left and then the icon for Store.

Thanks Margo!  I read the link and I'm still no closer to figuring it out.  I think she is using some third party app

I've never owned an iPhone before so I asked my friend who is an avid iPhone enthusiast. She said that, assuming you're using iMessage, you're encountering stickers which are a "relatively new" feature. She said this was the best explanation she could find.

Also for future reference, that's not a green hippo. It's the green pig from Happy Birds, the mobile game. 

Spot on!  Stickers is exactly what it was! 

I'm going be all over this now.  Except I have money so I can buy better stickers than my kids.

This is great!  Now I refuse to type anything and only communicate with anyone through the Mignons.  I don't need to say anything more complicated than what the. Mignions and an animated slice of pizza can communicate.
