That was my thinking.

Yes, you can watch it but we will watch it together.  BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Gawd, though... poor Jimbo if she agrees to those terms!  "Awkward" isn't strong enough.  I'm so glad I don't have kids.  KF, this is your future!

My 14 year old daughter wants to watch love island and I'm not sure what to do about it.  My approach so far has been to talk with her about the values on the show and how they don't fit with mine, like judging and valuing people completely on physical attributes, having no respect for thoughts, ideas or curiousity, being chavvy, sleeping with someone you hardly know on national tv and worship of "fame" as an end in itself rather than talent or accomplishment.  She's given me sensible answers to all this and says she can recognise all that and still wants to watch it purely for stupid entertainment value.   Nonetheless, that doesn't excuse the issue that it's pretty disgusting all around and she's only 14.

Thoughts?

There is nothing at all wrong with saying no.  :)

Are you kidding me?!?  Jimbo would LOVE Love Island.  There are gorgeous women with hardly any clothes on.  I don't think it would be torture for him.   ;D

But he would have to watch it with his young daughter.  He'd have to pretend it was awful the whole time.

No, No, a thousand times no.  If I want to see boobies, I just imagine my wife!

We watched 10 minutes of it last night, then switched over to a documentary about the space shuttle.  Space beats boobies almost all the time.

Actually, it has already created some interesting conversations.  LIKe:
How many sexual partners do you think the average person has in their life ? How long do most people date before actually having sex?  (These questions are rhetorical NCTami, you don't have to answer)  I was surprised that her answers totally were reasoanable (around 20 and third date)

I would rather give my daughter a lecture on tantric lovemaking than watch a whole episode of love island.

I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

She might be, but Space is far superior and more interesting than boobies/love island hahaha

I don't think any of the women on Love Island could be buried at sea....
