It's a proper group effort now! lol

Yeah it has to be a conscious choice...but I don't get why as I don't see it really adding anything positive to the shots, just an attempt at being "artsy" and it's all I can focus on...it's not even a one-off, it's a constant.

I'm still watching it even though I'm not really into it. Husband mentioned to me today "Oh you're watching Sabrina?" and I said "yeah it's crap". He rightly asked why I was still watching it....I had no real reason beyond "it's something?".

I haven't watched any more of it yet... not really motivated to continue at the moment, but we'll see.

We're starting to worry about The Good Place and the direction it's going...we still absolutely love it and it makes us laugh, but we're worried that we can't figure out where the show is going to go from  the episode we're at now. We just don't want to see it get backed into a corner to die a slow and painful death because it's still SOO good. Hoping they manage to keep salvaging the storyline.

I've been pretty impressed with how they've managed to keep it interesting by taking it in directions you don't expect... so I'm hoping they can keep doing that and keep coming up with new ideas :).

Yeah i think our concern is that we're afraid they'll run out of fresh or interesting ideas with the direction they've started taking it. we still like what they're doing and the show, but we're concerned about how much longer they can keep doing this for before it starts losing it.

The Good Place is still my current fave! I too am a bit worried about where it's going to go, but Schur seems to have a good head on his shoulders so I hope it continues. I adore Brooklyn 99 and I'm thinking of giving Parks and Rec a try since it's one of his as well.

So glad I'm not the only one who thinks Sabrina is bad but is still going to watch a few episodes. I only watched the premier yesterday and I was amazed at how badly written and cliche the script was. I totally agree about the weird vignetting they're doing, at first I thought it had to do with when magic was happening, but no... They seem to pull it out when they need to make something interesting.

Either of you find that orchard scene just... Ridiculous? I couldn't believe they had the trees flowering with apples on them! Obviously it was filmed in spring and not autumn.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Parks and Rec is excellent and you may also like 30 Rock. Definitely at least give them a try and see what you think.

AH! Couldn't think of the correct word to describe but vignetting is definitely it. Glad I'm not the only person who was like "oh, okay..it's because there's magic happening here (or possible a weird dream sequence?)...oh...nope. that's not it..they just realllly like using this effect."

I think I'm part way through episode 3 and I think the only reason I'm still watching is because I'm just curious where they're trying to take this story, but I'm only curious enough when I don't have to give it my full attention. I didn't like the orchard scene beyond when she sort of sees the devil thing and the witches hanging as I thought that  was just visually it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be (I expected it to be super cheesy).

Is there a new season or are you starting from the beginning? (Genuinely don't know as I don't have live TV so the only reason I knew to watch last time was because people at work told me about it haha)

Just started. I love Jodie Comer so anything with her in it has been good. I think we're on episode 4 or 5 of season 1.

After reading about it in this thread, I decided to watch Doctor Foster as well - just finished season 1 this evening.

I just finished watching School on BBC2 (first in a 6-part documentary).

It's so upsetting to see the state of our schools these days.... especially because two of the three schools featured in the programme are my secondary school and our 'rival' secondary school (where 31 out of 36 kids from my primary school class went), which is about 5 minutes' walk from my parents' house.

This week's episode featured the 'rival' school, and I realised partway through the episode that I know one of the learning support teachers who was in it (she's the mum of one of the boys in my primary school class), and that I also 'know' the mum of the 16-year-old girl, Chloe who was featured in the episode ('know' as in we never spoke, but I think we might have gone to the same Brownies or Guides group about 25 years ago).

Next week's episode is focused on my secondary school... and just from the opening blurb for the series, I noticed that at least 3 of my old teachers are still teaching there!

My husband didn't particularly care for it. He couldn't get the premise behind her actions. I thought it was quite good though.

I think some people empathise with her but I think they are all SO wrong and mentally unstable and her kid is just stuck in the middle.
