Our family is completely the opposite, we eat together at the dining room table every single night.  No screens or mobile phones allowed, not even pieces of paper to show us things.

On super special occasions when my wife is out of town, we'll eat pizza in front of the Tv.

I do think it's different when you have kids as you need that time to connect with them.
My, how time flies....

Thanks for taking the hit, I'm going to skip it.

I am looking forward to watching that Netflix blockbuster about the girl who falls in love with a genetically engineered animal destined for the slaughterhouse.  I think my all around favourite author Jon Ronson worked on it.

Are you referring to Okja? Looks interesting but not sure it's in my top slot of things to watch just yet but I've added it "to my list" on Netflix to remind me it's there. I wouldn't say I took a hit in this case as this wasn't an absolutely terrible documentary (there are many things I did not enjoy that I watched all the way through that I can say I took a hit for so other's don't have to) but it wasn't necessarily what I thought it would be.

Agreed.
Therefore, I have no children because my partner and I flatly refuse to give up our 'me' time or our 'us' time.  :)

There's nothing wrong with that either :) I know plenty of people that are happy with the choices they made for them (whether that's with or without kids). Right now, me and husband and pooch are happy :) We are too selfish at this point in our lives and just not ready to think about it but we have friends who are on their second and third kids and are probably just as happy hah

Wanted to watch the new Twin Peaks while my husband is out and thought it was on Amazon Prime....It wasn't :(

Watching the first episode of Mozart In The Jungle instead as my sister has raved about it so much and I'm not sure my husband would be into it so seizing the moment. Wasn't expecting Bernadette Peters!

I flew through Mozart in the Jungle. I couldn't believe how good it was after I had put off watching it for so long. I think I watched the last season in a day after my toe surgery. Can't wait for this to come back on!

Have you watched Transparent? Also on Amazon Prime.

Only watched the one episode but it was definitely good. Not something I personally could binge watch I don't think because of the length of each episode, but it was a really good first episode.

Normally I can't binge the longer shows either, but I was so into it, they didn't seem that long to me and before I knew it, 3 or 4 would have gone by!

This is my family and, honestly, I am so glad that we make this time to spend together.  My husband and I use dinner time to watch TV together but will absolutely make sit-down family dinners a priority when we have kids.

If I am just flicking through channels for something to watch, I usually hit up my childhood favorites like Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman, Touched By An Angel, or the Waltons.  I love love love the shows about airports or border control and things like that.  I also love 24 Hours in A&E and One Born Every Minute.

Am now patiently waiting for the next season of Outlander to air.  They've only just finished filming but one can hope...

DAMMIT! I had heard someone say that the season finale was intense or something and I was REALLY hoping they were talking about last season! We had to take a break last night because we had some local drama and then one of the kiddos couldn't sleep because he is obsessed with death currently (but only at bedtime, of course!) so I wasn't really in the mood by the time all was quiet!

Oh no! Poor thing! :( It's always at bedtime, isn't it? I remember those kinds of things happening with my niece and nephew!
