I just finished Wild Wild Country on Netflix... WOW, what a rollercoaster!

Good lord. That is crazy stuff.

I will say this, I would not want to be in the room with that innocent-acting Australian woman.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Right? My husband was mad that they had Radiohead. I laughed.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Right?! I was singing along. I was so surprised as I hadn't heard it on TV since Tiny Toons!

For anyone who watched Dirty John on Netflix, they've put up the documentary/true story of it.

Yes! I've got it on my "to watch" list! Wondering if it's the same exact thing as the podcast though (as in they adapted the tv documentary for the podcast) as I feel like the podcast referenced the tv documentary

It was pretty much what was in the series.  I haven't heard the podcast. There was at least one victim I don't remember hearing about in the documentary.

What do you mean by that? One victim in the movie that you didn't hear about in the doc?

Watching it now..it's NOT the podcast (as they mention the podcast at the very start).

To confirm, John looks NOTHING like Eric Bana...LOL it's interesting seeing what everybody looks like in real life.

Yea he looks nothing like him lol.  I was talking about the millionaire lady who was an author and wired him 37 million. I didn’t remember her from the show.

Ahh right. In fairness, there was a note at the end of every episodes that there were some dramatisations in the show and some fictional characters created (and I imagine there were also some people/things left out - like this lady). Just the nature of TV I think

Yea I was actually surprised that it seemed like everything they said in the show actually happened. I thought the documentary was more interesting than the show.
