I taped the 2am showing of GoT, then got up at 3am to watch it!  And we had smoked salmon, crusty bread and cream cheese to enjoy with it.  And as it was breakfast time (nearly) we had fresh orange juice (added to process!).  We just used GoT to indulge.  It could have been anything.

Hubby, who I dragged out of bed to watch it with me, said that they are really setting the stage on this one.  No spoilers from me!

I know!  You can't underestimate good sleep.

I used to have to get up at 5 every morning so I could be in work for 6am - so I would be in bed for 9pm.  Now that I have left all that behind - it is wonderful!

Totally indulging ourselves now.

And it looks like this is shaping up to be an excellent series.  No spoilers from me.  But looking forward to chatting about it.

Should we start a new discussion group??? Or should we just mark whatever we say as a spoiler so it's blanked out?? if I start a new discussion group for GoT with the understanding that you don't click into it until you've watched the episode for that week would you post there?

I think "don't click unless you've watched" would work.

G.O.T. Mr Larrabee is a huge fan and has watched since the very beginning. I, on the other hand, have not seen a single episode....

But my curiosity has now been sufficiently piqued that I am going to give it a go to see what all the fuss is about!  Wish me luck!  ;D

Good luck!  I just haven't been interested.  It helps that my husband is also not interested, so I don't have to sacrifice spending time with him.

I definitely don't mind people not being interested. I think everybody should just be allowed to enjoy what it is they like and skip what it is they don't. What I irritates me is when people feel the need to loudly let the world know that they DON'T need to watch a show in a rude way like they deserve a medal for it and they proceed to highlight how annoying those watching who care are as it's "just a TV show" and all that jazz. I just want to be like SHHH Let people enjoy things!

Anyone who can say "just a tv show" has no soul! There are shows which I totally inhabit when I'm watching them.

This is one that I've just not been attracted to so far.. but  I saw something about a little fighting wolf girl ?? and thought she sounded pretty cool! Not wanting to look at too much though as I'll be starting from the beginning!

Hah certainly nobody here has been like that (beyond jokes/banter - which is acceptable 100%! lol). It's more people on facebook who almost think they're better than you for NOT watching a wildly successful and popular TV show (not just because it doesn't appeal to them but because they seem to get a thrill out of not being mainstream or something). If it doesn't appeal to you, it doesn't appeal to you! :)

Sort of right about a fighting wolf girl in a very abstract way haha. I hope you enjoy just because I love it and want others to love it too, but if you don't, you don't!

When i started watching GoT I couldn't get into it for a  while.  Of course this could have been because the powers that be had censored it so much that they managed to compress a few seasons into 1!  Also, they didn't show the episodes in order.  So it was a bit of a challenge.

For me it was a slow burner (when I eventually got to the UK and were able to see it properly) but by the end of the first season I was hooked.

I love the intro music!

Unfortunately the theme song always has us singing the South Park version (I’ll let you give that one a google if you’re wanting to know )
