Anyone watch The English Game on Netflix? I'm not really a football person but I enjoyed it.

Started and finished same day - Unorthodox on Netflix.  About a girl escaping from the Hasidic Jew community.  It was really good, and made me want to learn more about this culture.
This show was fantastic - have you read Deborah Feldman's book that the show was based on? It's equally as fascinating, but in a different way. The show was only loosely based on the book, but if you really want a look into the Hasidic community, the book is a more realistic look into it.
I agree with watching One of Us on Netflix too, that was really interesting as well.

I loved it! Phenomenal acting by Shira Haas.

We've been watching Money Heist on Netflix.  It's a bit violent and sexy for my boy and there's been a few times we've had to put a blanket over his head.  Pretty good though.
Our TV watching pattern is probably different to most of yall's as we want things we can watch as a family.   That's a challenge because the 13 year old gets bored by the crown and even Noughts and Crosses and my wife doesn't like anything too violent.  And nobody shares my taste in obscure technology documentaries.
Lately we watched the first series of the BBC "Race across the world" or whatver it was called.  Fit the bill pretty well.

Just saw a Greg Daniels show "Uploaded" that looks good on prime but doesn't appear to have episodes out yet.

Will definitely do both of these... thanks!

Be sure to watch Making Orthodox after you watch the show, that was quite interesting as well. Everyone who acted in that show was so amazing.

By the way, has anyone else watched Okja on Netflix?   Kiss of Death and Rick and I were supposed to watch it and then comment on Dischord but I couldn't get back on Dischord for technical reasons.  What did you guys say about it?

I thought it certainly deserved it's 7.3 on IMDB, OK but not really all that great.  A weird mix of cutesy kid's movie with scary anti-meat violence thrown in.  Also didn't like the assumption that the little girl could learn enough English to speak and understand  just by reading a book on the plane.  Must be because all Asians are super smart.

Ah, didn’t realise there was a Making Unorthodox feature too :). Will check it out when I can.

Also, my neighbour liked Shtisel, which is more Orthodox Jew stories on Netflix.

I haven't seen that one yet, but I've heard that's really good as well. Shira Haas from unorthodox is in that one as well.

Yes, it comes up separately from the show on Netflix I think. It came up as recommended viewing for me after I watched the show.
