That's it really...
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I definitely don't want to complain (at least not actively or publicly) because I definitely prefer this to freezing........but I 100% agree LOL. I was on morning dog walk duty today, and I was absolutely baking. I have a small patch of sunburn from sitting out over the weekend so was trying my best to hide that spot this morning without covering too much and cooking myself alive lol

Ha, we went to the beach on Saturday and I was shocked by the level of sunburn I saw on the (I assume) English there...like these people surely couldn't have used sunscreen at all from the level of burning we noticed!  Ouch.

Just got back from the pub for lunch. Can confirm: it's still hot as balls.

Felt like 91 out today here which meant that our greenhouse of a library was about 95.  It was 101 in the staff room.   [smiley=sick.gif]

Yikes!

The Tube was gross today. We'll, grosser than usual. ;)

To anyone with a day off or working from home with no AC at home and an Ikea nearby, they've got AC and it's wonderful. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] It's also big enough you won't be noticed hanging around all day.

Hi,

My friends and relatives living in hotter countries often send me screenshots of their weather forecasts and the Dubai contingent often shows 40-44 degrees Celcius! My India lot have similar figures! The USA lot will sometimes show 30-37!

They also do the same when it's winter as well !

Apparently, 2017 is indeed going to be a good, extended summer with spells of really 'hot' weather - I'll believe it when it's actually happening !!

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!

I can't be the only one who gets the song 'too darn hot' from Kiss Me Kate stuck in their heads when they see that?

Who's having a heat wave?

I had to put the heat on Saturday night, cold wind!,  and it was bloody freezing Sunday night, had to get another blanket to put on the bed.  Yesterday morning the weather was horrific (drizzly ,grey and gross and brrr).
This morning I went, brrrrrrrrr when I stepped outside.

Not too bad now, but I would not say that 14ºC is exactly tropical.

The heat wave must be stopping at the border.   It's been sunny and nice here (Glasgow/west), but thankfully, not hot.

Ohhh ouch...its 28 here..... and HUMID. I had to sleep with literally a sheet (like a mattress cover type sheet as we don't have a proper plain sheet that you'd typiclly put over you) as I need to sleep with some type of covers but I think it was still 27 even last night! This morning there was a small breeze but the humidity was killer. Now it's hot AND humid.

Over 30C here in London and tomorrow says 33C!!!!!

It's too hot for me, but perfect for laundry day. I'm about to hang up my fifth load today and considering doing a sixth. Get your bedding and towels washed now if you can, folks!

ETA: BBC says 32C today and 34C tomorrow in London!!!! :o
