Adele

Very first world problem but a bummer all the same....

Adele cancelled tonight's concert.  Booked a million years ago, been prepping the night for ages (making sure the baby will take a bottle, go to a stranger, figuring out the allergies).  And now no concert.   :\\\'(

We have kept the sitter and are going to go to dinner.  But with all our current exclusions from our diets, it could be more of a pain than it's worth!  But I picked a restaurant with cocktails, as it's been toooooooo long without an adult beverage.

Oh man, that must have been bad news.

Just curious, if Adele had said she can't sing live but would lip sync, would you have still gone?  I would because you would still have fun and maybe never even notice the difference.

U2 is coming to Twickenham next week.  Gonna be busy.

I did read an article (if you can call it that...it was posted by Metro LOL) relating to the cancelled gig and it did sound like she was just as bummed as everybody else that she had to cancel :( So at least you know she didn't take any joy in cancelling it. Still sucks all the same, but I find it's at least a bit comforting when an artists acknowledges their cancellation is crap and they didn't want to have to do it.

Hope you had fun and were feeling well this morning (so hoping you found the right cocktail balance! haha)

Jimbo, I would have been really disappointed with lip syncing!  We were very lucky to see her in March 2016 and she was spectacular.  So we were really looking forward to going to the final show for many years.  Sadly, we've received word that we will have a refund by the end of the week.  Would have much preferred a rescheduled date, no matter how far away (those tickets were HARD to get).

Yes, she definitely didn't take the decision lightly to cancel.  Right choice, but I do feel for people who flew in for the event.  Of course there are never any guarantees.

We went to a trendy place for dinner.  Drinks were WAY better than the food.   ;)  And saw Guardians of the Galaxy.  Babysitter said she would come back!  So a major win overall.  Was nice to talk to my husband without a screaming baby or a toddler desperate for our attention!  I still like him.   ;D

Even with a straight up choice?  Nothing, or a whole concert where she lip sync s?  For me, it depends on the show .  I'm willing to bet that U2 will be completely pre recorded but probably a decent show anyway.

Guardians of the Galaxy?  Was that loud and explodey?

Despicable Me had some really fun parts.  The kids liked it.

Yup!  I really would.  Though I definitely wish it was rescheduled and not refunded!

I saw U2 about a hundred years ago.  You'll love them!

Guardians of the galaxy was okay.  Definitely there for my husband!  He told me it was a comedy.   ::)  And we were in the front row.....  I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't breaking my neck!

No, I'm not actually going to see U2, just Involuntarily putting up with the traffic and chaos since I live close to the stadium.  I'd like to see them but tickets  must be nuts expensive .

A comedy!!!  At least it was funny to me.  Reminds me of when I convinced my wife to go see "Kids " which is pretty disagreeable.  She didn't speak to me for 3 days.
