Apologies for being AWOL, I've been rushing around doing all the things I was too depressed to do before and now just putting together a welcome hamper for hubby for his arrival into BHX on Sunday

Why didnt anyone mention this in the last three months?!

I was planning to take scones to the airport. It'll be late for me but will feel like 5pm for her.

I was going to put up our wedding cards and cut fresh flowers from the garden.

I have been working on the house and garden for six months though to get it looking nice for her/ us. 

What goes in a welcome hamper?! Oh dear oh dear oh dear

I absolutely love the idea of putting up the wedding cards and the fresh cut flowers, this is so romantic

Well, I always go OTT on gifts so I'm trying to not go overboard but I just wanted to get him some basic things like showers gels, hair stuff, blackcurrant sweets (his fave), then I've bought some aftershave, his favorite yankee candle and I got him a new phone with a case. Naturally with the cupcakes 

The scones you mentioned are a brilliant idea, I can never get mine to be soft - They end up like giant pellets lol

You don't need to do anything.  Just be sure to be at the airport waiting for her.  Nothing worse than getting off a long flight and your ride isn't there!

Don't worry Em! Hamper is optional!    Seriously, as long as you are there, bearing scones, what more could she possibly want for?

Aww that's all so lovely! I did do a shop online with her and get in some of her favourite and familiar things. Now I'll have to have a further think! It's exciting isn't it? Can't remember if you were already together or more newly together like us? I've also been fearful, but that's probably my general default position Lol
