I put down grass seeds on Saturday and they are ALREADY sprouting!! I'm so sick of the rain but am a tiny bit happy for it now!
That was perfect timing! I seeded the lawn earlier in the year at supposedly a better time but the weather was dry as a bone and I spent the best part of 3 weeks of my life dragging the sprinkler around the garden, all day, trying to keep it all watered!
If it makes you feel better, I won't get any of those things when I arrive. My fiancé is very sweet but doesn't think about things like this, will just be happy to have me over.
Those are just lovely, you can't beat anything straight out of the garden. (except perhaps for a wet dog!)
Wow! That's beautiful.
Hey, you never know.. maybe he'll surprise you?
Thanks. Just got today's 20 minute cycle to go and then getting ready to head to Heathrow. Her flight is currently running early!
This was the third re-seeding. The grass is really starting to look good. We pulled up some flower beds (ahem, weed beds) and seeded over to reshape the beds. First time we actually ended up with a cold snap afterwards and it took about 2.5/3 weeks to sprout. Though it came up well. Second time was right before the big heat wave and I spent every evening dragging the sprinker around. Took FOREVER to sprout and not much took. This time seems to have been spectacular but was only the front garden. Going to cut and seed the back garden tomorrow!
Please don't be a stranger.
After the support you've all given me? No chance
Actually Emily, we want pictures of the happy homecoming!
Heehee!
Lol - noted people! I've arrived at Heathrow!!
