Ok beautiful people I've rewritten 'I Will Survive' just for us. I didnt need to change much! You need to listen to it whilst singing our version, preferably loud and repetitively.

I Will Survive

At first I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side
But then I spent so many nights thinking how they do us wrong
And I grew strong
And I learned to get along
And you'll be back from outer space
I'll just walk in to find you here with that kind look upon your face
I should've stamped that latest statement
Dotted Is and crossed that T
If I'd known for just one second just how long this wait would be

UkVI
Send to our door
Send that damn visa
Cos we're not waiting anymore
Weren't you the ones that tried to hurt us with deny
Did you think I'd crumble
That I'd lay down and die
Oh no not I
I will survive
As long as I know how to love I know I'll be alive
I've got all my love to give
I've got all my life to live
I'll survive
I will survive
Heeey heeey

It took all the strength I had not to fall apart
Kept trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart
And I spent oh so many nights just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
But now I hold my head up high
And you see me
Somebody new
I'm not that weeping little person on the phone to you
And yes I checked the tracker twice and phoned the line that's so not free
But hon I'm saving all my loving for the day you're here with me.

UkVI
Send to our door
Send that damn visa
Cos we're not waiting anymore
Weren't you the ones that tried to hurt us with deny
Did you think I'd crumble
That I'd lay down and die
Oh no not I
I will survive
As long as I know how to love I know I'll be alive
I've got all my love to give
I've got all my life to live
I'll survive
I will survive
That put a big ass smile on my sad face . Thank you for this ❤️

So glad! It certainly helped rewriting it back whenever that was - probably only a matter of weeks ago but feels like lifetime.

If you find yourself with time on your hands  :P, scroll through the thread. CharlieB wrote some fabulous visa anthems and we posted some links for UKVI karaoke inspiration! Feel free to add your own  :D

You have brought shame on the House of the Knitting Circle.  You must atone by seeking forgiveness through the art of interpretive dance.

Highly appropriate response I feel. This did make me laugh out loud!  :P And how has it taken us so long to express the long wait in dance?!  :o

I confess, I only jumped into this thread around page 3, or so.  I couldn't be sure if interpretive dance wasn't already mentioned in the first two pages.  But if not, it was long overdue!

This thread certainly does what is says on the tin  :P

I'm glad we revived it before it fell of the page!

I'm not sure Larrabee will be able to video her dance as she was last seen whooshing without due preparation and may be needing to have a little lie down.

I'm waiting for KFD's response to the playdough festival at hers. Hee hee.

Well, she's going on holiday.  Let's just have it in her absence.  Anybody have directions to her place?  ;)

You know, I would really love to post a video of my masterful artistic interpretation of a tree in the wind but unfortunately due to ongoing technical difficulties, I will be unable to oblige. So sorry.

But if it helps, I looked elegant and coordinated and not at all like an excited 5 year old running away from a bee...

...limps off to find the deep heat...
