I'm getting settled - I've signed up for a neighborhood dog walking group (unpaid), a local Spanish class, and joined my husband's badminton club. Trying to be proactive about filling my time and meeting my neighbors. My in-laws are also determined to socialize me at every chance possible.

Yesterday I went to coop to buy salad and tomatoes for taco toppings, and the guy behind the counter asked what I was making, and when I told him, he asked "what's tacos?" ... definitely not in San Diego anymore Toto!

Haha, I just read that as 'getting married'... I can't think why!  ;)

What about your FLR, are you ready to apply?  :D

Ha! This was our first Saturday NOT getting married in a month!! We're almost ready - we're opening a joint bank account today, and we've added my name to some of the utilities. We'll send my passport off to change it to my married name, probably next week, and by the time it comes back, we should have some paper mail to prove I exist. :D

Great!  ;D

There is an option to use an online form for FLR but we're strongly recommending that people use the paper form instead.
The online one is relatively new and still glitchy and seems to be worded differently from the paper form but we can't see it so it's more difficult to help with any questions that you may have.

I've started stalking the FLR threads a bit, we'll probably go the paper route - I'll need help at some stage I'm sure!

And you still have to print the online form and send it in with the rest of your stuff anyway so it's not like you're saving a tree or anything!

Yum! I have been tasked with making some hats and scarves for a raffle at a fundraiser, so there will be more crochet pieces to share soon! I also bought a couple craftsy kits to try out for making sweaters, as I've pretty much stuck with simple stuff so far!

Looking forward to seeing these! I wonder if they will arrive before Larrabee's next origami installation?

He had no clue. But he self-described as "proper Glaswegian," followed by "now, if you were to put haggis in it..."

Chicken parm would be a good one! We took my in-laws to the one decent Mexican place in town, and they've decided burritos are acceptable. But not so much the coop man... yet...

Lol give it time maybe ull change his mind eventually lol
Yea I have tried introducing my in laws to news foods when I used to visit back in 2010 and then my mother in law would show me some of her recipes everytime I would visit though or mail things to them we would have to include crunchy cheetoes for my father in law their his favorite but I guess their hard to find there or really expensive

Oh i just thought of something else if you like chicken parmesian I used to make chicken parmesian sandwiches their really good you get like a sub roll and then put the chicken onto it with all the sauce n cheese its normally topped with I got the idea from Olive Garden but i think their chicken is a bit thin n dry with a bit too much garlic thats just me though
