I think it's been sprinkled with elf dust.   I found this:  https://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=77277.msg1060093#msg1060093

There went on to be a Secret Santa thread again the following year, but nothing more recent than 2013 came up.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued

8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!

I was in the secret Santa in 2013. I missed all the drama in 2012 . Cannot believe I read it all to get to the juicy part only to realise it was edited down :)

We used to do UKY Secret Santa...

Then we also had someone throw an absolute tantrum about the gift she did get.   It lost its magic.

This, sadly.  I had seriously given thought to reviving it this year, but remembered that.  :(

Would anyone be interested in a card exchange? Less pressure than secret santa and can be easily homemade. Maybe a minimum post count to join in?

I'd rather buy a present and do secret Santa than have to make a card!  :)
