I haven't taken a driving test since I was 16!! I'm drivi for work now so I'm trying to drive the way it's done here. I'm sure I'll be fine but relaxed? Hmmmm maybe!

Buy kalms think your meant to take two I probably took four ooops! The first time I was so nervous but then I knew what to expect.

I don't know about your town but it took me about a month to book a test because there was none available so worth looking at.

It is worth some lessons
,even forthings like an emergency stop. They expect you to stop quick and harsh and then handbrake, look around etc in certain orders.

I heard come December it'll be done using SatNav.

Yes!  If nothing else, get at least one lesson in which you're told how to do the maneuvers.  You don't know which one you'll be asked to do, so you need to be prepared to do a turn in road, a reverse into side road, or something else...?  And I think everybody has to do the emergency stop.  And, as Eh said, there is a little pantomime you do to get it right.  A driving instructor isn't for teaching you how to drive, they're for teaching you how to pass the test.  And it's absolutely worth the money.

So... the parcel arrived today! @Rick Stephens you didn't mention you'd sent it. I am still looking at all the goodies and deciding what I'll keep! In the meantime, here's a picture of my cat wondering what's in this exciting new box. (It's a link to my Instagram because this %#$*@£ forum makes posting attachments a massive bl00dy chore)

Parcel Force, what's our status?  Last we heard, Rick had sent the parcel onward after selecting driving test prep, and historyenne has received the parcel.  Are you still deciding what to keep from the box historyenne?  Have you already decided and sent it forward?  Pics, please!  So curious, as now there have been three people adding to the box since I had it, and that's a lot of possibilities.

I'm still curious to know what larrabee picked!  Did you get your computer?  Can you show us a pic now?  *poke*

It's a long story but I am still computerless! I promise I have not forgotten though and it'll literally be one of the first things I do when I get it!   ;D

Sorry, I've been busy this week (and also conscious of JennyEye's situation, so not hurrying) but I have chosen what I'm keeping and also what I'm putting in, so hoping to get the box sent off tomorrow or Monday. I'm also going on hols on the 13th, so it will be off by then!

Thank you!! I'm home from holiday tomorrow

Much needed holiday, but with hubby still dealing with the after effects of cancer treatment and a terrible 2s toddler, this was anything but a normal vacation

Aww, I'm sorry... it sounds like it wasn't the much-needed break you'd hoped for.  Do you have some additional time off before resuming work when you get back, so you can maybe just relax at home for a few days?

Sorry to hear that, @JennyEye.

In better news, the parcel is now winging its way to @brenzie! Should be there in a day or two.

I have to confess that I took two things from it. Less out of greed and more because I needed to be able to close the box, but still, I hope you will all forgive me.

Oooh, are those images for colouring in?

I think it's fine to take more than one thing, especially if you needed to make room.  I had to remove some of the packing material (in case that's no longer a thing, it was pink shredded paper) to make space, and there was still loads of it left in!

Brilliant! Thanks for posting the pic! It's perfectly fine to take 2 things, no forgiveness necessary!  ;D

Oooh, are those images for colouring in?

They are indeed! Lovely and intricate ones. I used to do colouring-in in college as stress relief and I really enjoyed it, but haven't done it in years. So thanks to whoever put this in!
