It has arrived! I'm going to hold on to it for a couple days - just started my job and I'm a bit too worn out to do post office-y things. It was a great surprise when I got home from work, though!

The holiday was a rest in a way, but could have been better if hubby was well enough to be able to help with the devil child I spawned. Thank goodness she is cute

There is no way she is a devil child!  Outgoing, perhaps.  Dynamic, probably.  But not devilish.  She looks so sweet!... in the instant that the picture was taken, anyway.

Late to the party as it's been a bit hectic around here. How long did it take everyone to finish unpacking and settling in once you arrived? It's been three months here and the sea shipment (admittedly arrived only a few weeks ago) is still everywhere. Still haven't found a dentist. Total chaos!

I came over 4-1/2 years ago, and only had what I could fit in a suitcase, carry-on, and a large duffle bag.  But my husband and I bought a house last year and officially moved in November.  After six months of our new second bedroom being a literal "box room", we sorted through a lot of it and shifted it either to sell, bin, or loft.  The stuff for selling is still piled up waiting to be photographed for ebay.  The stuff in the loft is still just boxes of things that we'll unpack when our house is finished (there's a lot of kitchen stuff!).  Probably a few more years. 

But, more to the point... YES!  Join in!  Just re-post the list with your name at the bottom, then PM the person above you with your address.  It seems to take about a week for the box to get from one person to the next, maybe longer.  So don't expect anything to happen any time soon.  But it's fun to see what everybody is getting, and it's a lot of fun when it's your turn!

Not what you wanted to hear...

We moved two years ago (locally).  Movers were done that afternoon and we were fully unpackaged that same night.  But we had gone into a larger home with more storage so everything just fit easily.

It was quick when I moved here to.  I was by myself and a corporate move that included unpacking.  They only lay stuff on a flat surface (read, the floor), so it forces you along pretty quick!

Well, if larrabee is going again...    (My husband will probably roll his eyes at me for this... and then enthusiastically help me decide what to put in.)

I'm sorry your holiday wasn't as good as it could have been. 

I hope your husband is getting better.
