Goodbye little box, enjoy your travels

By the way, British people get really worked up if you take a picture of the post office counter.  Apparently, terrorists could find out how mail works by studying the pictures.

Yay!  It's begun!  When it arrives, I will post a photo of whatever I select from the box.  Fun times!

The parcel has made it my little corner of the world.  I am still considering which item I will choose.  I have a few things to add back in before sending it along.  I'll post again here with a photo of my selection when I've made up my mind, and I'll let you guys know when it's on its way again.  Probably at the weekend, as I have to flag down my postman and ask him nicely to take post from me, or my husband or I can drive it to a post box when he's home with the vehicle.

I have made my selection, added my contributions, and the parcel is on its way to larrabee in tomorrow's post.

I am the proud new owner of this (nom!):

What are you going to do with it?  I bought it one day when I must have been shopping hungry.  I couldn't figure out what to cook with it.  Every day my wife got angrier and angrier because it's a big jar and takes up ton of room, and French people HATE orange cheese.  They genuinely see it as a crime against civilisation.  In fact, I came up with this idea of pass the parcel as a way to get that cheese out of the house.  Alternate plan was to eat it all by myself the next time they all went to France but I was afraid of having a heart attack with no one around.

As soon as I saw it in the box, I added a big bag of tortilla chips to my grocery list.  I'm going to heat it up and have chips and queso!  My husband is looking forward to trying it.  Man, if I had those chunky wavy fries that I used to get at Del Taco, ... nacho fries!  I've never had this brand, but the ingredients look right.  I expect this will taste almost identical to my old guilty pleasure when i lived in LA.

[smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]  Exciting news! The box arrived today!  :D Thank you to my friends upstream Jimbocz and JFKimberly!  ;D

I know some of you have met each other irl but I got this really weird feeling, (in a good way) that you guys that I spend time chatting with every day, are actually real after all!

I think I know what I would like to take from it and I have a vague idea what I'm going to deposit but I'm going to  have to mull it over a little more. :)

Oh, yay!  I saw that you were online and I kept waiting to see if you'd received the parcel.  Fun!  I look forward to seeing what you choose.  When my husband saw one of the items I put in, he said "You really think someone's going to want that?"  I said, "they might..."  Now I have to follow this thread to the very end to see if anybody ever takes it so I can show him the post.  :P

Nope!  Welcome!  At some point, you'll want to give your address to brenzie.  And hopefully others will come along and you'll post to whoever signs up next. :)
