I bet your pizza oven will make some wicked corn muffins.  Assuming you can turn it down enough.

I also fear that the good qualities of Americans are being forgotten in this age of turmoil.  I'd imagine that if you got a flat tyre in the middle of a KKK rally, they would stop to help you out.  I still believe that American's have thier hearts in the right place overall.

I've packed it up and sent it on it's way, after removing one more thing to make

I listened to Historyenne and want with something made just down the road.

Enjoy Larrabee!

Thanks Jim!  ;D

I did think about trying it in the Uuni.  I am happy to experiment.  We have (he has) a week off starting Saturday, and we expect at least one day without rain during that week.  We're going to have pizza/calzones, and try other foods in it.  I'm excited!

And, yeah... America/Americans aren't a complete wash, yet.  But it does take tasty noms to demonstrate that to my husband.  (He's really happy with his choice in spouse, because I have expanded his knowledge of Mexican/TexMex cuisine.)

JF kimberley, you should try to watch Jamie and Jimmy's Friday night feast.  Part of the show is usually an explanation of how to build a cool outdoor cooker.  They've done things like chicken rotisserie, smokers, peking duck ovens and coffee roasters.  Maybe a good source of ideas.

I've done a few rock ovens before, so wood fired and they nicely held at 350 degrees. An outdoor oven might be the ticket!

I'll have to watch it when my husband isn't around.  He hates Jamie Oliver!  :P  But the outdoor cookers construction makes it worth checking out.

I dislike Jamie Oliver as well when he's over doing the cheeky chappy thing.  In this series he's a bit more laid back because of Jimmy, who's not doing any of that junk.  Jimmy is the one who builds all the cool stuff anyway.

Oh, Channel 4 has all of them on their archives.  I will watch the ones that sound interesting (the tandoor oven and the DIY smoker from the first series, to begin with!).  Thanks!

I need a huge back garden for the outdoor kitchen I want. I also need to live somewhere with better weather. Lol

I'll take tons of space and an outdoor kitchen and better weather as well.  That's the only thing that bugs me when I visit people that have all that.

Phew, I haven't missed my turn! We're still deciding what we'll put in when it's our turn. It's a bit challenging to think of something local enough to be special. And since some people are saying it can take a while for the package to get picked up/delivered, that rules out most baked goods. :(

AV, you don't have to put something local in, that was just a suggestion. You can put whatever you like.  :)
If it helps, just wait until the box gets to you then you'll see what kind of things are in it already and it might make choosing what to put in yourself a bit easier.    That's what I did!  ;D
