I borrowed the use of the tracking number from your screenshot, and have been watching it all day.  Apparently, there's a problem with my address.  That's news to me, as Parcelforce has delivered to me in the past.  They woke me up stupor early just last Friday in fact!  So I'm not sure what's up.  I suspect that they won't get it resolved in time to deliver it tomorrow, so I won't get to open it with my husband, unless we wai-- ...

oh.  It doesn't matter.  If we don't have it by tomorrow, he can't post it for me on Monday.  Sorry, everybody.  I'll likely be holding onto it for a week, after all.

I'm at a loss.  My house is on the main road, and it has the name on a sign on the front.  I turned our porch light on when it started to get dark out to make sure they could see us.

This has happened before, but not with Parcelforce.  Parcelforce brought me something just last Friday (the 11th).  They know where I live!

Your parcel has been returned to our depot following an attempted delivery or a problem locating the address. Our driver will have left a card explaining what to do next.

There is no card explaining what to do.  I mean, why would there be a card if they can't even find my house?

Soooooo annoying!  I know for sure your post code and house name are correct as it’s on the receipt!

I’ll call tomorrow and see what they say.  Not great service for £13!   >:(

I just phoned their general customer service number and I think I booked a redelivery for tomorrow...?  I didn't get to speak to anybody, just an automated system.  It never asked for my tracking number (?!!), but it confirmed my postcode, street name, and first line of address, and then said my redelivery has been booked.  We'll see if that worked.

I'm not sure how it could work, though.  The only information I gave the system that wasn't on the receipt you showed me is the street name, and it's the only road in the village.  I will let you know!

Breaking news: It's here!

The parcel has been delivered!  The address looks fine to me.  There's a Parcelforce label on the front with the handwritten, as if by explanation, note: "not on manifest".  I'm no expert, but it sounds very much like an internal error to me.

Thank goodness!  I'm still going to call and complain that I spent £13 for guaranteed 48 hour delivery....

Will you wait until the weekend to open it?

*looks at contents scattered across coffee table*  Umm.  I wanted to.  I really did.  But that lasted until the parcel entered my house.  :P

I seriously have a pile of things that I'm going to be choosing from this week.  And, honestly, there's more than one item that could've been picked especially for me.  I have some pondering to do.  There are five items under consideration.  Five!

Fortunately, I have to wait for my husband to ship it for me, so I have time to think about it... and maybe let him make a final decision.

Then pick more than one. Lol. I put a lot of stuff in there hoping someone would be able to use it.  Lol.

Yeah, there's two things that I am definitely taking.  The other three are just me being greedy.  But I do need to make room for my own contributions, don't I?  ;)

You do. And you have an obligation to get the weight down and make plenty of room for the next person on the list!  ;D

I put six things in.  Grab away, I say!  I’m just so relieved it finally arrived!

I’ll find a hint about the item for you.  It doesn’t count as one of your picks.   ;D

Confession: As a child, I would get a little thrill of excitement if I found an errant speck of leftover glitter from some long-forgotten craft/decoration.
Super Confession:  As an adult, I still get that little thrill of excitement when I find an errant speck of leftover glitter.  I genuinely do not hate glitter.

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Oh, I know!  That was immediately on the short-shortlist. :)

As an aside, my husband was sitting on the sofa and i was sitting across from him on Saturday night, and I noticed errant specks of glitter!  I gleefully, if autistically, pointed the sparklies out to my husband, and then realized halfway through wondering out loud where they came from that it must be because my card-crafting neighbor sits in that same spot when she pops in to visit with me every week.

Oh!  Freebie!  I can take it out now, guilt free!  I'm not greedy.  You want me to take it!

You've figured it out?  Pink, sparkly, brings out the kid in you.   ;)
