Maybe you could even work your butt off for 8 years and then get replaced by a maniac man child who has no other goal in life than to dismantle everything you accomplished.

Kind of like on Facebook, I almost clicked "like" to agree with you, but I don't really like it.  I just agree with you that this is what happened.  :/

How is it that he’s allowed to Tweet whatever he wants without any advising?

Because he fires anybody who disagrees with him.  He's a spoilt brat, and everybody's terrified of him.  He's like that lonely kid in the Twilight Zone episode who could make anything happen just by thinking of it... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_a_Good_Life_(The_Twilight_Zone)

Or like the crazy old lady fighting Robbie the Robot with a Broom in that other TZ.  If I remember it correctly.

In a way, I am slightly upset as it looks even less likely that he will visit now, and I really wanted to protest.  That would be the funbest week.

Or just get some from the breakfast caff next time you go out for a full English.  It's crazy stuff, like eating cold seaweed while licking the inside of a copper pipe.  Good though!

hhahaha!  We don't eat out.  And I most definitely wouldn't go out for breakfast.

I'm not sure how to reconcile those last two sentences... "It's crazy stuff, like eating cold seaweed while licking the inside of a copper pipe," does not seem like it should be followed with "Good though!"

Still, I'd try it.

As we're already off-topic, let me moan!

Had two more interviews at Oracle today.  I think it's me and either one or two internal candidates remaining (I think possibly only one internal).  And I think they are going to go the internal route.  How do you convince them that even though "I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt" that they should take a chance on the unknown?  The other person knows the business, knows the players, knows whats working, knows what needs to change.  How do you compete with that?  And he's a man.  GRRRRRR
I don't see how you could convince them and you shouldn't worry about it. It's out of your control.  Don't second guess them too hard, there could be all kinds of things going on that you don't know about.
Attending interviews is always good, people want to hire people who are in demand.  Make sure you name drop Oracle in every interview coming up.

Exactly what I needed to hear.  The thing is, I’m all for promoting internally.  So I can rattle off a big list of why they should go that route!

Any sign of Rick or the parcel(s)?  I know it's only a week, and they had a long way to travel, but I'm impatient. :P

Yay!  I am relieved to hear they both arrived safely!  Looking forward to seeing what you select.  :)

I pm'd AV again yesterday and still no reply...

If we haven't heard from her by the time you're ready to forward the parcel, we could just bump her down the list by one, and you could send to the next person.  We could keep moving her down by one until we hear from her, so whenever she does turn up, it will be her turn.  I thought she was really looking forward to her turn.  I hope she is doing okay.

The most updated list is:

1. Jimbocz
2. JFKimberly
3. Larrabee
4. Eh127929
5. Rick Stephens
6. historyenne
7. brenzie
8. Jennyeye
9. Nctami72
10. Jimbocz
11. Larrabee
12.  KFdancer
13. JFKimberly
14. Rick Stephens

15. AV
16. Eh127929
17. x0Kiss0fDeath
18. historyenne
19. Jennyeye
20.jonyboy_mentao

So you'd send the parcel(s) on to Eh if we don't hear from AV.

While I don't usually mind giving my details to people, I refuse to give them to Facebook, so I don't have a Whatsapp account.

I'm ignorant in this, but do they link?? My OH is so anti Facebook for the fact that he says the sell your info etc etc which I'm sure they do but I like to stay in touch. But he has whatsapp and uses it frequently.

So you'd send the parcel(s) on to Eh if we don't hear from AV.

This is so petty but I hate my username lol it's an OLD email, I don't even know why I picked it but I can't get it to change.

I do hope AV Is okay though.
