Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to post the evidence list that I've been working on for the past month. I can't remember what forum or site I found it on but wanted to get some advice to make sure I'm going the right way with it. Sorry if this thread is located somewhere else, if it is please direct me to it! Thank you!

Just place everything together in a pile and secure with rubber bands or string. No need for folders. Include photocopies of anything that you want returned in a separate pile and keep a copy of the application forms for your records.  :)

The  pay slips and bank statements must correspond with each other and cover the length of time you are relying on depending on the category you are using. All the financial evidence must be dated within 28 days of the online application.
Everything must be original or a certified copy.

If either of you have been married in the past, you need to include proof of divorce.

Okay, you don't need any of the following:
Sponsor:
C. Originals of Birth Certificate (short and long)

II. Applicant Information
C. Original birth certificate
E. Work History/Evidence of Employabilitiy
     1.Resume
     2.Most recent job contract
3.Letter of recommendation from former/current employer
F. Financial History
     1.Bank statements
     2.Most recent taxes
     3.Bank Letter/Verification of deposits

III. Applicant-Sponsor Relationship
3.Wedding invitations, save the date, cards from family etc
    5.Photos from visits spent together

Only send 2 photos max - one from the wedding and one from another time. They are only to prove you have met at least once.

Birth certificates are irrelevant and not required... but make sure you send your passport, passport photos and all previous passports.

They cannot consider your employment history or finances at all, so take all of that out.

Do not use folders or binders. Just put everything jn neat piles and secure with a paper clip or rubber band.

Are all the sponsor's payslips and bank statements original and in the correct format?

Also you should include photocopies of all original documents you wish to be returned to you.

You have just made my life 10x easier. I wasn't aware that my employment history or financials wouldn't be taken into consideration! My binder is bursting at the seams right now so I'm glad I can take everything out and paperclip everything together. I was worried we were putting too much information together!

It definitely should NOT be bursting at the seams!

Your application package should ideally be no more than 1-2 inches in width and not weigh more than 2-3 lbs. If you are using pre-paid shipping labels through the VFS Global website, your package will have a weight limit of 5 lbs.

Earlier I replied on my phone, but now I'm home I can give a bit more details for what documents you need:

Visa Supporting Documents

Applicant
- Printed online application form
- Printed and completed VAF4a Appendix 2 form
- Current Passport
- All previous passports
- Passport photo
- Biometrics confirmation (stamped after appointment)
- Optional contents letter
- Optional proposed itinerary
- Shipping labels
- Receipt for priority processing if using

Sponsor
- Sponsor’s letter of support
- Notarized copy of Passport Bio Page

Finances, assuming Category A:
Mandatory:
- 6 full months of original payslips showing at least £1,550 before tax on each one
- 6 full months of original bank statements showing the deposit of every single payslip
- letter from employer stating ALL of the following:
(i) the person's employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).

Optional but recommended
- original job contract
- latest P60

Acommodation
- Letter from parents giving permission to live there and stating that the home will not be overcrowded (number of bedrooms and living rooms, and total number of people)
- Land Registry document

Relationship (in order of importance)
- Marriage certificate
- 2 photos of you together
- boarding passes from trips to see each other (or e-tickets if you no longer have the boarding passes)
- letters/cards sent to each other
- no more than 2 sheets of paper per source showing a selection of Viber/Skype calls throughout the relationship (i.e. screenshot maybe 1 or 2 per month or something - depending on how long you've been together)

Thanks so much Ksand24! I just have one questions about the original job contract, my husband has one from HR but it's not an original. I know you said optional but recommended but if he can't obtain an original but submits the copy is that something that we could possibly get refused for?

They wouldn't refuse you for that, no. Could someone from HR stamp/sign the copy? That would validate it for UKVI.

OK that's great. So someone can certify the copy and that is acceptable?

It would be better than it just being a copy. It's not something that you would be refused on in any case.
Where you need to be really careful is with the pay slips and bank statements. Details are in fm-se below.

Thanks Larrabee! Husband has not got his contract certified by the HR dept. He has originals of payslips as well as bank statements so that should be sufficient for immigration.

You do not need SU07. That is for such visas as adult dependent relative.
You need the print out of the online application rather than the paper VAF4A
You do need Appendix 2.
