I always love the Lore podcast. Genuinely interesting stories and good background music.

http://www.lorepodcast.com/

Listened to this on our journey to a wedding that was an hour and a half away and both husband and I loved it! Thanks for the recommendation! We marathoned through a whole bunch of them! My favourite was the one on Danvers State Mental Institution as I grew up 15-20 minutes drive from there and I remember what a legend it had become (as well as when it was torn down etc.). It is also when you find out the dude doing the podcast was from around Danvers as well so it was quite cool to have that small connection (and a lot of the legends - that we made it through so far anyway - seem to take place in/near New England so it was kind of interesting to learn about some of these things that happened not so far from MA but that I had never heard of!

Just wanted to come back and say thanks for the good shout! Thoroughly enjoyed it! It's nice to find something that's a big hit for both of us because sometimes he gets really bored with the things I find interesting to listen to.

Neil deGrasse Tyson's Startalk.

been slowly listening to Startalk and it's two thumbs up so far! Love the guests as well and the episode where they take questions. I like to listen to this one in bed as I find that's when my brain is the most quiet so I can actually process what's being said in terms of the Science. I downloaded CaseFile but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet as I've been making such good progress on my other podcasts.

Not sure if I heard about it hear or on Reddit, but there's a podcast called STATUS which has to do with immigration and real couples/people that are affected by it. I heard about it a few months back now but I've only just started to listen to it so can't really say how amazing it is yet but thought I'd share it here as it's relevant to this whole forum.

Here's the website : https://www.statuspodcast.com/

You guys don't forget to try Ear Hustle

Ear Hustle: Cellies
https://overcast.fm/+JLYSgQf5A

"At San Quentin State Prison, the typical cell measures approximately 4’ x 9’ and contains a bunk bed, toilet, sink, two men, and their six cubic feet of belongings. In our first episode of Ear Hustle, hear stories of negotiating this space and the relationships that come with living in such close quarters."

It's hilarious when they start talking about how some guy is too big to be a cell mate because his poos must be enormous.

Been listening to CaseFile and I do approve. Thanks Jim!

Also just listening (as we speak) to Conversations With People Who Hate Me. Definitely very thought provoking and it's nice to see people who do not see eye-to-eye (at least at first) having civil discussions and hearing each other out. Only on the second episode but I am digging it so far.

Another good one I've been listening to with hubster at night is Myths and Legends.

I also listened to conversations with people who hate me and I'm having a hard time getting into it.  The person who previously was a jerk troll always rolls it all back and all of a sudden gets all agreeable once they are not anonymous.  It's still on my list though.

How about Real Time with Bill Maher?  It's a political comedy talk show that's on HBO, but you can get the podcast for free.

Sometimes Bill is fairly wrong about stuff, but mostly it's good to keep up on US news.

Only listened to two episodes (working through Casefile lol) but that's the part about it that made me laugh. The fact that they prove how they are only big and bad behind an internet alias and when faced with the person they are trolling, they aren't so tough anymore. They backtrack and try to justify what it was they were *realllly* trying to say (or so they claim).

Also if you like Lore, I found another podcast sort of similar. It's called Cryptid Keeper Podcast. It's more comedy, but I'm really liking it. One of the hosts also does the No Sleep Podcast, which is a favourite of mine in the Autumn months.

Will need to check both of those!

Apparently LORE is getting a TV show based on it!

Dude Amazon Prime will be my lifeblood once it does. I'm so freaking excited! He said that he was in talks about this show a year ago, and I was so jazzed up then.
