I'd take that as a good sign.

Same thought process. If they were going to kick up a massive fuss about it, I would've assumed they'd contact the person submitting the application or just give it a rejection as opposed to checking with the person who will be allowing the applicants to stay, but I've been wrong before. We'll find out soon enough!

My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

** Final Update **

We've spent the first half of yesterday ambushing the DHL courier in the bushes. At approximately 12:00pm he arrived and handed us the envelope that contained the decision letter and passport.

Lo and behold - Our application has been successful and my partner's passport had been embedded with a shiny new vignette  ;D

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their assistance and support during the waiting period. It wasn't as easy and hassle free as we initially expected but it was worthwhile in the end :)
