What can be in the crate with the pet?
« on: September 22, 2017, 01:43:39 AM »
I read somewhere that you cannot put their beds in the crate but must have shredded paper (I was thinking of putting potty pads).  It also said no toys. My dog will be very sad without her stuffed animal.  Can anyone confirm this.  It would be with United Airlines.

I flew our two cats with United. I put a pad in the bottom of each of their cages and this was fine.

I would take the toy with you when you check your dog in at the depot and ask them if they will allow you to put it in the crate.

We flew our two cats same crate on Scandinavian and they had a pad at the bottom as well as one of my tshirts to comfort the nervous/clingy one. I think they just don't want stuff in there that could roll around/fall out/pet could choke on.
