If you give me a week or so, I'll have a chat with Wench and tried to get this back up.

Go for it, Ashley! I was going to try to get it going, but I'd just as soon hand off duties to someone else.  :-\\\\  Let me know if you need help with anything. Looks like we have about 8 people interested right now, with hopefully more to follow. So far:

belindaloo
ashley
dramaqueen1286
twistedcynical
jennydee
azroomie
carla

So how would you guys like to arrange it?  Are you going for the "Try to get together (online) and chat" method or the "Chat about it in forum" method?  ;)

There are pros and cons to both of course.  There's no point anyone dictating how to do it - it needs to be what will work best for everyone.  :)  Perhaps a combination of chatting in forum with regular meets in a chatroom to discuss the books would work best?

A combo sounds good to me. Maybe our first "meeting" will be a good way to figure out what works and what doesn't. We might not iron out the kinks until the second one.

If the first meeting is going to be in a chat room - we might want to figure out what time zones those participating will be in.  ;)

Ooooh, good thought! See why I'm not running this thing?? lol

Anyway, GMT here.

Yahoo sounds good. And classics sound good. Anyone in the mood to read some Edith Wharton? If not, that's OK. Just a suggestion.

I've been reading "Dracula", it's quite good.

Which Wharton?

OK, I have been a bit out of the loop. We are still planning on discussing Little Earthquakes right?

Which Wharton?

Age of Innocence? Buccaneers? House of Mirth? Any one of those that I "should" have read but never have.

Ricki, this is a purely online book club -- for those of us who can't get to a real book club meeting. I guess we could read the same book. What do you guys think?

Were any arrangements ever made about this?  If so - do post info for those who want to participate please.  ;)

If you're talking about the online book club, I don't think anything ever happened.  :(
