It's been grounded for quite some time due to bureaucratic bickering. (Sigh).
As if the homes lost to the fires (and the deaths) aren't bad enough, now the fire is said to be threatening the Emerald Triangle. Those firefighters are going to have a heck of a time, if it is. But at least the people downwind will be wayyyy more relaxed. (Recreational weed is due to be legal next year, so the crops are already in the ground. Those guys can't get crop insurance, because it's illegal under federal law to grow and sell, although not under Cali law. They're going to lose everything.)
Somewhere, Tommy Chong must be just having a fit at not being in NorCal right now. (Or maybe he is.)
