FLR(M) Children
« on: October 23, 2017, 07:58:01 PM »
Hopefully my last question ::)

My husband and I each have non-dependent children from prior marriage. No children dependent or living in the UK. Do I skip Section 4 completely or answer the questions on the first page? Thanks!

If the children are over 18, they do not need to be included.  If under 18, you need to include them in the table.

Hi again
I'm still a little confused...

Question 4.2 Do you have any children whose parent is not your sponsor?

I have two daughters with my first husband i(n their twenties) who live in the US...Do I complete the table including them as if they are "children" even thought they are adults?

Also, my husband has a 17 year old who lives in the US with his mother and stepfather. So it seems he SHOULD be in the table due to his age? As he is not applying with me, I assume this does not affect the income calculations?

Thank you again for all of your help!

For your daughters, you tick no because they are not ‘children’ and have nothing to do with your application... they are adults living in another country.

You also DO NOT need to include the 17-year-old because he lives in the US and the application only asks if your sponsor has any children living in the UK... which he doesn’t.

So, you answer as follows:

4.1 - No
4.2 - No
4.3 - No

And move to Section 5
