Quick question gurus on here...I am closing on the sell of our home March 30th. Can I put the 35k that they rejected the paperwork into the mortgage to lower it so that my net proceeds would be the amount to go with the 74k that they already said I had correct paperwork for? This would give me the £62,500 I need and I have had the Home for over 2 years prior to sell. ?
Thanks!
We aren’t sure if we will reapply as we found this to be complete bull sh*t reason to deny us. But I want to make sure I ask about the house before it closes.
If you can post the entire exact wording of the refusal letter, we can help you better. Sometimes you have to read between the lines to figure out the exact reason for the refusal.
An appeal would take about a year and is unlikely to be successful unless you met all the requirements and included everything but they overlooked something and made a mistake in refusing it... but without seeing the refusal wording, I couldn't tell you if they did or not.
So, assuming you don't appeal, your options would be:
- reapply
or
- don't move to the UK at all
If it's simply a case of not having the correct paperwork for the 35K, you might be able to just gather the paperwork (if you can get it) and then reapply immediately using the 74K and the 35K.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean about the 35K and the mortgage from your house sale though.
