I hate to ask the question so soon, and I don't want to derail the topic of this particular thread, but could one of you pro's enlighten me of what's different, if anything, when applying again in 2 and a half years time? I'd like to be prepared and start saving what I need from this point on so it's not so stressful. A link or any quick bullet points would be incredibly helpful.

1. You'll need to demonstrate that you and your partner meet the financial requirements again, but this time you can use your income.
2. You'll need the same type of accommodation proof.
3. To prove the relationship, you'll show 6 joint items of mail to the same address over the previous 2 year period (one every 4 months). If you don't have joint, you submit 12 individual, or a combination of the two. What this means is DO NOT GO PAPERLESS ON ANYTHING and SAVE EVERY ITEM OF MAIL UNTIL THE END OF TIME.
4. Save your pennies. The visas and fees are getting more expensive every year (roughly a 25% increase each year). Definitely budget for each visa.
