I’m just two days ahead with BD 47 and BD 31 since the “email” and I ranted to my mother about this exact thing last night over tears. I go over and over the material we sent and can’t comprehend that it’s taken this long when everyone else has been given answers within a few a weeks. Does anyone on here know what usually causes such long delays and how normal is it for priority to wait over the 60BD?

I feel like I'm in the same mind frame as you. I was asked for additional documents, I sent the additional documents and now it's just nothing. It's been confirmed that they have them, but I haven't heard a peep otherwise. It didn't send a huge amount of additional documents, so nothing that they would need to take weeks to go through. It sounds to me like they have a decision made for me already and they just want the documents to back it up.

I haven't cried about it since sending the documents, but I'm getting back to that point where I just want to cry whenever I talk about it.

Unfortunately, if they ask for more documents, it will generally add a few weeks onto your processing time :(.

They won't assess the application until they have the documents, and until they pick up your application again, so they won't actually be ready to make a decision yet.

This is all in the other thread, but I sent the documents to them on the 19th and I know that they received them. A week later my MP told us that they said that they didn't get them. I "replied" to the first email I sent to Sheffield (meaning that I hit reply on it so that it would be the exact same address and contents) and they claimed that they did not have the documents. So I sent them again and they actually wrote me an email confirming this time. So at this point, the original reply that I sent was on the 19th, they claim that they never received it which is a lie and then I sent it again exactly a week ago. It's just baffling that anything can be as poorly run as this office is. Everyone jokes that "oh, haha, it's bureaucracy" but it's just ridiculous.

So my sponsor’s statements were printed out at the bank, not on official letterhead though it says at the top it was printed at the bank, a few pages were stamped, but not all, now I’m just preparing for us to get a rejection as I read other’s troubles with bank statements

Did you submit a letter from the bank stating they were authentic? That should be sufficient if so:

(a) Bank statements must:
...
(1) on official bank stationery; or
(2) electronic bank statements which are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page.

No we thought they were okay as long as they were printed at the bank

Okay, well I wouldn't worry just yet  - I've seen a few posts on here saying that they will usually let a few things slide if most of the pages were stamped and everything else is correct.

I think 4/40 were stamped...like I said I thought the statements were fine if they were printed at the bank...omg 8000 wasted, well, nothing I can do now. I’m off to go cry lol

My fiancé actually DOES get paper statements in the mail, so that's what we included with our application. We didn't have them stamped or go to the bank for a letter of authenticity, since the statements are well and truly "originals."
I have been worried, though, thinking someone at UKVI could assume we just printed off the statements (they have the bank logo and such but they don't look ultra-special or anything.) This is the biggest problem with this whole process- a fair amount of the requirements do seem to come down to the 'discretion' of an ECO. Reading some of the posts here and elsewhere has made me feel like decisions depend on their mood when they're looking at applications!
I just keep hoping they will contact me if they need clarification/additional documentation, rather than just issuing a refusal outright.
This process is not for the weak.

Gah! I know this is total speculation, but it seems that if you pass the 30 BD/WD mark then you are in it for the long haul. My heart goes out to the over 30 BD people, I’m so ready to go home, so you must be acquiring patience of steel.

@Lovepaperwork both my husband and I are the most impatient people on the planet. We simply can't understand what could take so long. It's a terrible process and it is heart breaking everyday when you hear nothing. Especially at this stage. It would be a bit better if they communicated with us but we are were we are. This is what has to be done to be together so it is what we do.
He followed up with his MP today. Hopefully he will hear something in the morning from him.

I’m right there with you word for word. It’s agonozing knowing we’re over 50 BD this week.
