I am! My visa allowed me into the country on the 15th, so I flew out on the 14th and got here at 9 am on the 15th. Took the bus to Bristol and was home by 1 pm to greet my ecstatic pups. Husband got home from work later  :P

And it snowed this past weekend and was absolutely beautiful. So happy to be home.

When do you fly out? What part of the UK are you going to?

Thanks, @Lovepaperwork

Honestly, my advice:

Step away from the computer and try to take your mind off it for a while. You’re only stressing yourself out by constantly checking and worrying over the application.

Take a few days away from the forum and go do something fun to take your mind off it.

If you get to the end of March (60 working days) and you still haven’t heard anything THEN you can start worrying.

I still wouldn't worry in your case.  As UKVI used their "get out of service standard of 60 days free card" when they sent you the not straight forward email.

That being said, I'm hoping and praying that this week is YOUR week!   :D

I understand how you feel, SOUTHERNBOY123, you've absolutely got a right to worry and feel stressed - this process is agony!  On BD 53 I had a complete break-down as, like you, I kept seeing others get approved and with every approval I saw and every day that went by I was more and more convinced we were going to be refused.  4 BDs later we had our decision-made email, 3 BDs after that, the visa approved and now I am booking a flight for my husband to come home within a matter of days.  So, while it's understandable to be stressed out, I absolutely see the logic in ksand24's advice as my worrying was completely unfounded.  Easier said than done, though...
Date of application:  12 Dec 17
Date of biometrics:  15 Dec 17
Date of receipt of docs:  22 Dec 17
Not straightforward letter/request for docs:  23 Jan 18
Decision made email:  15 Mar 18
Decision:  Approved! 19 Mar 18

I am kinda hoping that as the only other ‘not straightforwards’ that were ahead of us have had their decision mades recently (before the 60 BD mark) ours can’t be far away.....but all applications are different I suppose.

My thoughts exactly.  They have been keeping within the 60 days even with the dreaded email.  :)

Yeah with that, I’ve still yet to find a single person who can offer any explanation as to how anything can take 2 months to check/confirm!!

You won't find one.  Because EVERYONE knows there is nothing that takes two months to check.   ;D

Sheffield has received my application this morning(expedited) and someone by the name Purdy signed for it.  My Husband (in the uk) kept telling me " babe im so scared to seal it! i cant tell you how many times i asked him the same stupid questions OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I've received advice that the priority wait time currently is about 1-1.5 months. Is this accurate? if so what do i do to distract myself? im seriously going MENTAL!

Keeping in mind im going mental, i read somewhere ( i read about 1315141051684 post a day and watch about the same amount of videos) that you dont get your answer until you get your passport in the mail? Can someone confirm this?

If that's the case we all need a shrink on speedial.
