I rarely drink alcohol. Can't even consider myself an "occasional" drinker since I'm usually the designated driver. But I did enjoy a beer last night after handing off my documents to UPS. I must say I slept soundly haha.

Our movers came today. I know I'm early on in the waiting game (13 business days), but my husband and 2 year old son moved to London earlier this week since husband is starting work on Monday (both are British citizens). Rattling around this empty apartment now and terrified that the process will take as long as some of you have had to wait. I just don't know how I'm going to last not seeing my son for that long. I've been a mess today!

Aawww that's hard. Who's taking care of your son while in London? Why couldn't he stay here in the States with you while you're waiting?

We're the same. My husband and 2yo son are also British citizens. But my son and I are waiting here in the States.

Our son will go to work with my husband or have family minding him before he goes to daycare there. Big reason for going to the UK is family support and they have that. My son's at the age where he needs me less for physical needs so it was good timing to have his dad as primary caregiver. Most of his life I was that parent but this time it worked better the other way around. Practically speaking, I still have a full time job in the US but it's not enough to cover rent, full time daycare, and living expenses. This was the best arrangement for our family, even though it is incredibly hard.

Quick one for Ksand24 if you’re around....would the fact i forgot to complete a change of circumstance (marriage) until recently with regards to my SC clearance with National Vetting in any way be a cause for the hold up in our particular case?
