I did everything the same.... they copied documents and sent them back to me accompanied by the letter.... but then 4 weeks later i get the email saying they havent received them.... maybe the copies got misplaced or something....

Not sure what has happened, i've had no such email so can't really say what's gone on. Only thing you could have done is to send them back in which i think you've already done. So you should be fine. Just the waiting game now. The waiting around not knowing is what's stressful.

Yeah thats what i thought that there's nothing i can do apart from send them again....
Im just worried thinking what if they say they haven't received them again? I hope nothing like that happens. Keep me in your prayers please

Did you receive a email at all confirming that your documents had been received?

After our first full business day of waiting, the *ding* of my phone receiving an e-mail is making my heart skip a beat just a little bit less.  I know it's very unlikely we'll hear anything until at least the first part of December, but yeah whatever lol.

It's been tough.  We've been over 5,000 miles apart for about 85% of the past 46 months, and now that we're (hopefully!) so close to closing the distance and finally being together, we're just fed up.  Want it to be over with and decided so we can move onto the next chapter in our lives, and the waiting is really awful.

Will be happy when the October people start getting their decisions.  Just thinking about our applications sitting on a desk collecting dust while we wait breathlessly is pretty sad, lol.

As for Christmastime, we really want to take a train ride up to Edinburgh, but we'd need to hear back before too long, otherwise ticket prices will get silly.  Otherwise just sitting on the settee cuddled up watching Jeremy Kyle or Tipping Point will have to suffice  :)

Hopefully there's a dump soon and a bunch of us get decisions (especially those of you here approaching 30BDs now).

My husband is here with me, but the waiting period is starting to grind us down as we're both jobless now (having quit in anticipation of the move and to give us time to prep), carless is LA (having sold/gotten rid of our cars), and we've been procrastinating everything including packing (OOPS!). We also made a decision today to sell our home here in LA instead of renting it out...so need to sort that all too.

We're planning on being in NY for Christmas with my family and then were hoping to go from NY straight to London if the visa comes in time, so the clock is ticking to get everything done. I figure throwing myself into all these moving projects is a good distraction from the wait!

Wish I could be buying furniture and home stuff for London to help distract! Have you been Pinterest-ing?

I have to say that the lack of movement the last couple weeks is discouraging. BUT at the same time, I have faith that my husband and I will be together for Christmas. I have to keep believing that. ❤️

Yeah same here, I started getting really optimistic a few weeks ago when everyone was getting approved and it looked like the backlog was being cleared.  Now I'm still optimistic, but it's a little more guarded now.

Ditto. Minus the 2 at the start, I don't think we've had any approvals yet. It's been 41 days since I last saw my wife (on our honeymoon) so being without each other when we should be celebrating being newly-weds is certainly emotionally draining. We're hoping for a decision before our 3 year mark later in the month.

We've started to bookmark lots of great restaurants here in London that we want to visit when she gets back, so we're looking forward to that! Keep your heads up everybody :)

I don't think the solicitor did, he had tracked the package had been delivered and signed for. 2 weeks later they were back at his workplace with a letter from Sheffield. It was only when i decided to ring he told me that they had sent the documents back very quickly. So much for keeping me updated eh!

To be fair, he is swamped at the moment with loads of applicants.

We've just hit the 90 day mark since we last saw each other and I foolishly submitted my passport as well instead of a certified copy so I can't even go and see her whilst we wait.

It'd be nice to start seeing some October decisions going through (for them as well as my own selfishness!)

Hi all, 5:30 am EST and I was woken up by an email alert on my phone. I was annoyed and sure it was an advert, but it was my decision email! BD20/21(never have been sure how to count it) - shortly after that I got my tracking email, but UPS tracking isn't showing anything. I understand based on past posts that it won't go out until end of day today. Fingers crossed for a yes.

hopefully this is the first of many responses today!

Congrats, hope it's good news. Although this is a little disheartening as we submitted 9 days before you. Hope this doesn't sound bad, I'm genuinely happy for you.

Nope, I understand, I would be deeply annoyed  :) if the situation were reversed. I'm not a natural optimist, so I'm a bit floored that I am potentially the first response of this little cohort. I was making Thanksgiving travel plans...
