They must be trying to get their averages to something decent.

Are quick decisions usually good decisions?

I thought 19BD was nervy, but these next two days are gonna be tough!

WE GOT A DECISION EMAIL..... OH MY DAYS!!!

I wonder if UKVI is just powering through applications and sending out decision e-mails this week?

We also just got a decision e-mail, however, our application was received in Sheffield on 28th March. It's now 3rd April, so that's two business days (not including the two bank holidays that just went by). That seems a bit too quick to me? Our application seemed to be pretty straightforward (no dependents, easily met the financial requirements) so I'm hoping the news is good...

In general, yes - faster decisions are usually approvals because they don’t have to spend extra time scrutinising the application or asking for extra documents.

However, they doesn’t necessarily mean a longer decision is a refusal - it does depend on how quickly they are getting through the applications and how busy they are.

There was a time that 19 BD was a long processing time (a short processing time was 1-2 BD)!

Congratulations :).

It does sound like maybe they’re speeding up and working through the processing line :).

See my post above - 2 business days used to be the norm for priority applications! And generally, the faster you get the decision, the more likely it will be an approval. Because if they were going to refuse it they would spend more time on the application, checking it more thoroughly.

For a straightforward approval, it only takes 1-2 hours to make a decision, so almost the entire processing time is the application sitting in line... therefore, if there’s no line or it’s picked up quickly after arriving, you’ll get a quick decision too.
